Characterful Cottage near the Sea, Beach, Pier & Shops

The beds were comfortable & the WiFi worked well. The shops, pubs & restaurants are within easy walking distance.

The house had a musty odour and then a cat sprayed on the upstairs balcony outside the bedroom door/window 😣🤢 It was a very hot weekend, we couldn't have the balcony door/ window open in the bedroom because the cats came in! Just be aware there is a small spiral staircase not the easiest to manage with suitcases or if you're elderly / disabled. The shower head is dirty with mould and limescale. The handles to step over the shower wall are loose. All the plates, cups and dishes in the cupboard were dirty, needed washing before use. The window & mirrors were filthy. The pictures in the lounge were very dusty. Parking is on a meter in the street where the house is £3.60 for 3 hours Free from 6pm - 8am. Overall a disappointing stay!

Yet again a lovely stay at the cottage and will always re-visit in the future .

The foul stench of dog mess outside and the constant mass of flies inside- couldn’t open a window for fresh air. Had to hold our breath to run down the access lane - sickening! Parking was a nightmare- misleading description in advert. Very inconvenient and costly. Shower off putting- needs a good deep clean.

It wasn't clean

The cottage was spacious and comfortable. Although the area is a bit run down, as a solo traveller I felt safe. The cottage is about 5 minutes walk from the beach which was perfect for dog walking. Dogs allowed on all beaches before 9am. Loved there were no restrictions on where my dog could sleep in the cottage and he had no issue with the spiral staircase, although I didn’t attempt taking luggage upstairs. I tend to eat in and there was everything I needed in the kitchen. Great choice of TV channels, important for my entertainment. The terrace off the bedroom doesn’t have a pretty view but is a great sun trap and it was quiet. Great base for visiting surrounding areas of Somerset

Parking restrictions. I like to come and go during the day so had to plan alternative parking at different times. The alley leading to the property is not pleasant with cat poop and neighbour’s rubbish.

The location is great, and you have everything you need at the characterful cottage would recommend it and can't wait to stay here again
