The Windsor Apartment by GGE, Brighton Beach, Sleeps 4

The location was perfect

Shower didn’t work. Key safe very difficult to get in to. Apartment was double booked & owners were very hard to get hold of, the man we spoke to eventually was very abrupt as we still didn’t get key safe key code until the day we were arriving. Not very professional. No wine glasses either.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach front and the town centre for shops, bars & restaurants. The layout of the apartment was good and very modern.

The extracrtor fan in the bathroom was very dirty with months worth of dark dust that blew off into the shower. There wasleft over frozen food in the freezer compartment of the fridge. The duvet and duvet cover were poor qulaity and frayed and tatty. There was dust and hairs on the shelf behind the bed. The kitchen was poorly equipped: No sharp knives, no kitchen scissors. The kitchen cupboard smelt of damp and there was mould in there. We eventually found a switch for the shower hot water. But we never got any hot water in the kitchen, Not a problem as we boiled the kettle to wash the dishes, but maybe a manual to inform guests would be a good idea. Not so keen on the neighbours, on more than one occasion we smelt a very strong smell of wacky baccy.

Property was a good size and perfect for a short stay in Brighton. Great location, easy walk to everything. The bed was comfortable and the flat was very clean.

There were 3 of us and they didn’t set up the sofa bed. When we called to ask about it after check in they said the bedding is in the sofa bed which was fine but could’ve been included in the check-in instructions. The kitchen tap dripped all night long so the guest on the couch had a bad nights sleep along without outside noise. The shower pressure is very low.

The property was double booked when we arrived! But I phoned the host on my confirmation and they sorted alternative accommodation, which was better. However this was a massive mess up on booking.com and their behalf

Easy to get to, everything was exactly as it said and looked in the pictures! Great value for money and easy to get to everything and back!

Check out time is early but can extend for two hours for 20 quid.
