The Suites & Vintage Apartment at Casa Of Essence in heart of Old San Juan

The bed was uncomfortable in our room. The beautiful bedframe was too small for the mattress. The mattress was angled up from my shoulders up. I slept horribly. This is shame because everything else was wonderful in the room: the Wi-Fi, shower, location, quiet, 2 room suite, TV, decor, etc. But the bed was terrible! It might only be this room, The Vintage Suite. I do not know.

Fantastic location a few blocks from the cruise ship port and right in Old San Juan with pretty much anything you'd need within easy walking distance.

The beds a too firm. Had to keep flipping when one side of the body got sore.

Great location. It was near restaurants, park and a beach walk. Nicely furnished with old trunks, furnishings, and appliances. Quiet and had a good rest after long day.

Old elevator. It seemed to be like a moving cage..

Perfect location, lovely apartment with loads of character. Great communication from the host. Everything in walking distance. Beautiful town.

Nothing really - it was fabulous

You can't beat the location of this place. We walked everywhere in Old San Juan. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, including a grocery store right next door, which was very convenient.

The kitchenette could have been better-equipped. There was a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, along with a handful of glassware (cups and mugs, some of which were cracked or chipped). However, there were no plates, bowls, or cutlery of any kind. While I was happy to be able to make by own coffee in the morning, I had to use a corkscrew to stir the sugar into it, since there were no spoons in the apartment! I was a little disappointed by the kitchen area, but that's my only complaint.

Wonderful location. Close to shops and food. Room were big, clean and comfortable. Easy communications and was able to leave our bags earlier then checkin.

My only complaint is the room that we had, had a light very low in the bathroom, so we would occasionally bump our head into it. The two other rooms that we had did not have that issue.
