Swanky Central Apartment with Free Wifi (Sleeps 4)

The apartment was easy to find - we found parking right outside the building (pay & display on Saturday, free on Sundays and after 7pm) and it was an easy walk along the canal and into the City Centre. Although very close to the bustling city, the apartment faces away from the road so it was very quiet. The apartment was clean, plenty of towels and toiletries and the shower was hot! Sliding doors open up onto a little balcony, comfortable sofa in the lounge with a large tv and table and chairs would be useful although we didn't use them. Well stocked kitchen. We were asked to pay a deposit the day before we arrived, but this was returned without any problems. The host was very responsive and full instructions were emailed to us before arrival, with photos of the building, door and intercom which were very useful.

Although there was tea, coffee, sugar and bottled water in the fridge, there was no milk supplied and we weren't able to find a shop to buy any! Some milk sachets of a small bottle of milk in the fridge would have been very welcome.

The location was great, flat had everything we needed. You will be asked for a refundable deposit, I was a little concerned but they refunded no problem.

Nothing the place was grotty and filthy sticky floors chewing gum on walls , rubbish around the property, chicken bones in between sofa, empty vape boxes in draws , tissues under sofa, shower tray drains backing up drainage water, gaping hole in wall when first arrived couldn’t miss it , windows broken. Central location.

Listing said parking available but it is limited and maximum 4 hours. The apartment was in a state of disrepair: holes in walls and gaps in laminate, wobbly kitchen tap, no door on one bedroom. Shower curtain didn't reach the floor so bathroom flooded when showering. The sheets did not appear clean, toilet rolls were placed ontop of a weighing scale thick with dust. Chain on door was broken so no way of securing. £120 security deposit had to be paid by bank transfer or PayPal, took 4 days to return. Appreciate this was a budget accommodation for Birmingham but clean sheets are bare minimum.

The location was brill, one street away from Broad Street. Apartment very warm, comfortable & clean. Really good shower. Host always responded. We would definitely stay again.

Location was good, quiet and felt safe but within easy walking distance to all the sights.

Second bedroom had no actual door. Kitchen area was tired and needs updating.
