Large 5 Bedroom House - Alnwick

Lovely house in a great location. Really cosy sitting room, and fab to have the conservatory. Children especially liked the fußball table 😊 Excellent park two minutes walk away for the kids to let off some steam. Short walk into town or to the amazing Barter books.

The house is in a great location. The hosts were helpful and answered any questions we had quickly through the booking.com app. There was lots of space for everyone, bedrooms comfy and the house was well equipped, particularly the kitchen. The coffee machine was very welcome!

Christmas decorations would have been nice to enhance the atmosphere. Hot water controlled by hosts remotely, would have preferred control or at least to have known that the hosts had control.

Location, size, cleanliness, facilities

We ran out of toilet rolls and there was no shower gel.

good location for the event we attended, adequate parking for 2 cars . Well equipped kitchen - but lacking some basics.

Instruction booklet in complete - missing dishwasher instructions. Towels far too small . Oven was dirty . No tea pot, no milk jug . Alarm went off - possibly steam from bathroom ?

The house was ideal for a large group of friends to meet up and eat in and go on activities. We had a great weekend chatting, eating in, site-seeing and catching up. Rooms were very comfortable.

All we could think of that we felt cold be a little better was the need for a teapot (if there was one we didn't find out!) and it was a little tight on the table and benches for 10 adults to sit comfortably together.

The house was well appointed with everything we needed for cooking and comfort (eg log burner, extra blankets, information leaflets). Very close to a children’s playground - we went every evening after tea. Big enclosed garden for the children to run around in. Close to Alnwick centre and 5 minutes drive to the coast.

Just a better light in the kitchen near the table for playing games, cards at night. It was a bit dark.

We loved this welcoming and stylish home. It reflected great attention to detail, and the host who was very accommodative and communicated promptly. Really ideal for a large family!
