It’s located strategically near to the train station, and allows one get the train to the airport.

The floors were squeaky.

Handy for Southampton and the IOW ferry.

Great potential, but let down for lack of basic TLC. For example, the room is large but lacks basic furniture (ie: table and chairs, a fridge or a TV). The shared bathroom was poorly kept, with a blocked sink. The shared kitchen and fridges were not very clean. With better hands-on management it could be a nice guest house, but sadly felt more like a doss house.

The bathroom was dirty, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a few days.

The mattress on the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.

Absolutely nothing, OK so the outside was in need of a little tlc but ok it may be lovely once inside but oh nooo it stunk, and we were greeted by a random person and judging by all the key safes at the front door it is more of a doss house than a guest house! So we carry on up the stairs and opened the door to room 2, and again the stench hit me, the room was dirty, the springs in the mattress were poking through, the pillows were as thick as a piece if card. I immediately got my phone out and booked somewhere else. Personally I wouldn't stay there even if they paid me! If I could not get accommodation I would have slept in my car as no way was I staying there!

Everything, the images are misleading, the write up is also misleading, the bathroom which was a shared was disgusting, used yucky bars of soap at the sink and in the shower, omg who on earth would use someone else's bar of soap! When I read the read up it sounded like a complete apartment not a stinky room in a doss house! This place needs to stop advertising as a guest house. Please do not go.
