Union Inn+

We stayed one night before the Halong Bay cruise trip. It was clean and new and most importantly they provided a buggy ride free of charge to the port, it was very practical.

The breakfast was poor and they asked for local cash payment even though it was not stated in the booking information

Property is next to marina which was particularly handy for us.

Despite having breakfast included I was charged for coffee 😳 also asked the front desk if possible to keep bags after check out as our taxi wasn’t until late afternoon was told not possible.

Clean and comfortable hotel close right on the harbour. The second floor coffee spot serves excellent hot tea and various coffees. The breakfast was ok but not outstanding compared to others we have had here.

The only aspect I found odd was their policy to charge by the hour for an early check in, despite the room being unoccupied and most of the hotel Itself empty.

The Union Inn is a fantastic stay with an amazingly comfortable room and lovely staff. They were very helpful when a typhoon was hitting and couldn’t have done more to make sure we were safe and ok. Thank you so much!

The Manager Khang is very hands on. This is a family run and newly opened hotel. Its location is premium. We took a room with a marina/seaplane view - magnificent. The welcome was warm and generous. We were early by a few hours but nothing was too much for Khang and his team. We had a special breakfast brought to us and excellent coconut coffee - I know as my 15 year daughter is a true connoisseur, and she rated them very highly. Khang sorted us for an excellent seaplane trip over Halong Bay. Then later one of the best evening dinner/dance cruises in Halong Bay - all unmissable.
