Clean and spacious room with the added bonus of Netflix on the tv, and believe me you need this as there is very little to do around the hotel. You only need to stay here if you are waiting for one of the cruises to Ha Long Bay.

The restaurant on site needs to improve. The food is good but it takes a while and the staff don’t seem competent.

The hotel is absolutely great, after trying other accommodations in Vietnam we were not expecting this much for the price we paid. Everything is new and very clean. Plus, the breakfast is extremely good. The staff is helpful, their English is not always perfect but with some help from Google translate this is not an issue.

Not really an issue with the hotel itself, but the location is not the best. The area is basically empty, though you can still find a few restaurants and very small grocery shops. At least, very close to the hotel you have the ferry for Cat Ba and the seaplane office.

The view was spectacular. We did a cruise and took a grab from the cruise area to this hotel which was next door to the seaplane company we had booked that afternoon. The location was great for this. The receptionist was very personable and polite. Our room had a balcony and could see the sunrise over Ha Long Bay and the boats coming in and out from the port. For sunset it was just a short walk around the other side of the hotel. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have had so far in Vietnam. The ac worked well on heat, shower was hot though it ran out of hot water fairly quickly. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The hotel seems new. We enjoyed it!

The hot water ran out after a little while and the water turned cold. The rooms and hallways are spotless but they use some spray to make them smell nice which is way too strong. Once we opened the balcony for a few hours to let the room air out it was a bit better. The location is lacking but it is not the hotel’s fault. There is really nothing around and looks like a ghost town.

Rooms were large and very clean! Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and the hotel is very close to all the cruises. Really good value!
