Nazar Hotel & hostel

The room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen and kitchenette. Locker is provided. Walkable distance to the main attractions.

There was an electronic shortage for multiple times during nighttime. Required about 15 minutes walk to the main attractions and shops.

The full-time staff was very friendly and accommodating, the location was decent, each dorm bed had a outlet, light, and curtain, and the place was clean.

The worst part about my stay was the part time staff/translator Salamat. He asked me if I would write a review, to which I said yes, but the continued to mention it every day throughout the duration of my stay. This made it seem like everything nice he was doing was only to get a good review. Making things worse, he then repeatedly texted me the week after my stay and did not stop until I had to block him. Additionally I felt smothered as he doesn’t give space to guests and was taken back by how unprofessional he was, you cannot act like a guest and an employee at the same time. Moving one, other than a microwave and teapot there is no kitchen, the showers run out of hot water after one person uses them, and the rooms lockers are broken.

Staff was great!! Salamat and the reception and kitchen girls were friendly and kind. The whole place was clean and the location was very convenient, just a few meters from the old town and the mall.

There should be one more toilet on the ground floor, for the guests staying at the ground floor rooms.

Salamat was the person i meet first when I reached hostel, he is very good in communication with others, he was super helpful, he knew best tourist attraction's in turkistan, he helped me in getting a esim for a great deal. The receptionist Laila was also super helpful. The breakfast is very good

Very clean, bunk beds with curtains for added privacy, very large kitchen/communal area, great location for visiting the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi mausoleum, but above all, amazing staff! Shout out to Salamat who was super helpful and friendly, he went over and beyond to help me from booking a taxi from the station when my app wouldn’t work, to helping with arranging transport to visit another mausoleum outside the city, to sorting out a payment with a taxi driver who didn’t have change, and giving out infos on the city & all the sightseeing, always making sure via text that everything was going smoothly! Also another member of staff, who I bumped into on the bus, helped me there too! Just great customer service

The stuff was very friendly, they let me keep my luggage till my train late at night. The location was good to walking around the new city They called a taxi driver for me to visit places outside of the town the second day

No hot water in the shower so couldnt take a shower evening neither morning they fixed it after I left The shower get was over too The bedsheets/pillows were not fresh I found other people’s hair on it

Very good and central hostel. Salamat is working in the hostel and very attentive, helpful and caring for the guests. He is part of the team and supporting the reception desk in fabulous manner. I felt very comfortable staying in the hostel, can just recommend it . The best in Turkestan.

Perfect stay

Location is fantastic to walk and see all the major sites of Turkistan! The dorm room was very comfortable and had great privacy for each bed with a charging outlet and personal light for each bed. Overall, very comfortable stay in the property with nice bathrooms and kitchen area too.
