Great little house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, very handy. Nice little kitchen area.

The sofa was a bit old and uncomfortable.

"Basic but convenient."

6.0

The location is good. The downstairs loo is a deal-winner. There are no issues with outside noise and so on.

The stairs are very steep and not good for anyone who isn't fully able. This should be noted in the online ad. I had to crawl up and down them. The sofa was completely unusable for anyone who is larger than tiny, and I mean child-size not merely small. I had to help my normal sized friend out of it whenever she wanted to stand up. I could only use a dining chair in the evenings. The double bedroom lacks a dressing table or desk, or anything at that height to put things on. We had to use either the floor or the top of the wardrobe. The twin bedroom lacks a wardrobe which meant that clothes could not be hung and had to be folded into the chest of drawers. The top drawer of the dishwasher is loose or damaged at its right-hand slider, preventing the door from being closed unless you push that side of the drawer into proper place. The allocated parking involves going down three steep steps from the car park to the residential alley with no handrail; we used the disabled bays which are a bit closer if you can use them and avoid the steps. The house was otherwise as expected and satisfactory for the price and the location, for both of which it scores 4.8/5, but the above few things let it down badly. If you are fit/a single family/close enough to be willing to share bedroom facilities, and can bring some large cushions to fill the sofa out, this place would be okay. The nearby Co-op is larger and has better choices than usual for this size of community, though it sadly closes at 4pm on Sundays. A Tesco Express on the high street closes at 10pm but its range is a bit like a petrol station shop - unimaginative. There are some excellent independent shops close by, and you can get proper meat, mouth-watering cheeses, and veg, all very fresh and top notch. There's also one of those bottle refill shops which is thriving, for things like cooking oil, shampoo and so on.

"Great 2 bedroom house in the heart of Fordingbridge"

Great 2 bedroom house with all amenities

The parking is in a public car park with a parking permit so not so easy to unload or load the car, but very local
