Warm 1bed Flat Leith Walk

Flat was confortable but many kitchen elements were dirty (knives, forks, pans and casseroles...) and also dusty. Otherwise we had a really good week-end in this flat. Hot enough and cosy.

Good location, easy to find and get around. The apartment itself was quite sweet and the host was helpful enough.

It was very run down unfortunately. The shower head was broken, the bath plug didn’t work. The kitchen sink didn’t have a plug (or a cloth to wash up). The blinds in the bedroom were broken. The bed was very uncomfortable. We had one roll of toilet paper, and one spoon. The toilet seat didn’t stay up on its own.

Location is great for various bus routes both into and across the city centre and to the outskirts of Edinburgh. The apartment was much bigger than it looked in the photos. Very comfortable for 3 people for 4 nights. Easy check in and check out. Staff helpful with any queries via messages.

It was further away from Leith Walk than I expected (about a 15 minute walk) but with buses every 5-10 minutes it didn't really matter

Kuchyň nebyla moc vybavená, chybělo nádobí pro 4 lidi. Na úklidu by se dalo zapracovat.

No hot water. No central heating. Boiler was broken. Flat was dirty and grubby. Broken tiles in bathroom. Shower either scolded you or froze you. Needs replacing whole flat needs updating.

The neighborhood was interesting because of its parks and the waterway leading to Leith. It was convenient to reach bus stops to the centre. Other than that, there were no super markets or convenience stores within a short walking distance

How difficult could it be for a place to be kept decently clean?? Packs of dust everywhere. I developed an allergic throat soreness from the dust the minute I entered the place. There were hairs around the bedroom furniture and I had to use my own antiseptic tissues to clean some spaces. The bed and mattress were really uncomfortable. Of bad quality and probably over-used. I wasn't expecting luxury. But I think cleanliness of a space we rent is the least standard we expect. Lastly, minor repairments can easily be done such as the broken tiles in the bathroom or the toilet lid which kept falling.

The apartment is nice.

The are no clear instructions on which door to open (an annoyed neighbour had to put a paper on his door asking to not knock because it's not the airbnb). The amount of email, survey, whatever they want is huge and stressfull, I'm not kidding if I say I had over 10 email of confirmation.. after the confirmation. Asking details over and over for whatever reason. I've been charged 80£ for cleaning fees, as I suppose the previous owner has been charged too. Since the astronomical amount of money asked I expect the place to be pristine, however: dust covering windows and all fhe border of the house (I'm allergic) hair in the sofa bed. Unwashed pans or kitchen utensils (and one pan with the Teflon ripped off in half). The bathroom door had some dirty spots behind it. Honestly I paid around 200 pounds for a single night to get an apartment in this conditions, I wouldn't recommend it to other people either for the price or the cleaning status or the amount of email you'll get to guarantee the booking.
