Two Bedroom Country Cottage in County Durham with Village Pub and Free Parking For Holidays and Work Stays

The peaceful environment, great and easy parking, facilities (including ground coffee). (Used it to stay overnight for Kynren show: the place is 3.5 miles away from Car Park H, if you are doing the same.)

A very nice cosy home which was perfect for a family trip to visit relatives in the area. So much nicer than staying in a hotel.

A delightful cottage, lovely big rooms, very well equipped and spotless! Great to have all you need supplied (soaps & cleaners etc). Very tastefully decorated with careful attention to detail, we loved it. Easy parking & pretty location.

Good location and nice pub across the green

Door locks difficult to use. Bit dark downstairs, I’m 6-3 and found it a little crammed downstairs, banged my head twice going up the stairs, needs sign that side

Location in a quite village, with a lovely pub, The Bay Horse, across the road, reasonably priced & good food. Beautifully renovated cottage, done to a high standard, with a lovely shower room & bath robes. Very clean & comfy. The homemade shortbread biscuits were lovely, thank you. Easy to find and ample parking outside. Great central location for County Durham, & can recommend a trip to Locomotive, just a mile down the road. Would stay here again without hesitation if we come up that way again.

Minor point, could do with some placemats & coasters.

Beautiful house, it was spotless, well equipped like home from home and cosy. We had a lovely bottle of wine, biscuits, chocolates, milk, etc. When we arrived 😋. There was a gorgeous pub across the road serving delicious food and very large portions. Would definitely recommend this place, and we hopefully will be returning again.

Such comfortable beds and so clean. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience. We came from near Sydney Australia and even with the English weather had a great time seeing family and friends.
