Deer's Den

I liked the lay out of the house, the secure back garden, the walls were like soundproof. I also liked the location, short walk for Peasholm park which is lovely.

Deer's Den was a spacious roomed house. It was clean and decorated to a good standard. Do not worry if you don't get the key code until the day of arrival. It will be sent to you. The bedrooms and bathroom were large. There is a useful downstairs toilet. For this much space, and in July, the price was good. The actual location is a slightly down at heel, but it is in quick walking distance of Peasholme Park and the North Shore. It is only about 15 minutes walk through local streets to the Railway and Bus Stations. There are plenty of local shops and cafes.

The owners only communicated by booking.com. This was adequate, but necessities e.g. bin bags were not replaced. As said before it is decorated to a good standard, but expect to see deer here. The bric a brac is a bit annoying. For example, love hearts with 'LOVE' hanging on the wall.

Lovely house in a good location, handy for both bays and shops. Comfortable beds and sofas and everything you could possibly need is provided.

Was expecting a text with the code to obtain the keys however had to phone host to get the code. Slight confusion but fixed easily enough No instructions that we could find for the heating. Although were there in July is was cold in the evenings and could have done with a heater / heating on for a hour a couple of the nights.

This house was just what we, as two couples on holiday to see a 4-day cricket match, needed. It is an easy walk from not only the cricket ground, but the coast and the town centre as well. The house is beautifully furnished, with comfortable sofas, quality beds and good bed linen. There is a family bathroom upstairs, and a downstairs toilet. Plenty of soft fluffy towels we provided for our use, along with hand wash at both washbasins. We found the kitchen to be fine for preparing food to eat at the house, with sufficient plates, cutlery and pans, and an oven and hob, a microwave, together with a dishwasher and a washing machine.

We would have liked instructions to help us operate the dishwasher, and direction at the property regarding disposal of rubbish and the wheelie bins. I understand from the owner that both these issues are being addressed.

It was a bit of a struggle to get washing dry due to the wet weather a tumble drier would've been helpful. Plus there was lack of bins in the bedrooms and living room.
