"Quiet, cottage escape."

10.0

Located in a quiet village, easily accessible to shops, pubs, cafes via a short drive. The cottage is two stories, three toilets, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living areas and all the required facilities. Comfy bed, good sleeping. This is an older cottage, possibly mid 1700s, with low doorways, narrow staircase and no aircon but all windows function, making it an adventure. It has modern fitout, excellent shower and bath, very functional kitchen. The owner lives nearby and is quick to respond to any requests.

Nothing to say here.

"Cosy stay in a good location, helpful host."

7.0

Very quaint and cosy, lovely village setting.

Not very well equipped in kitchen, dodgy cooker - no heat on when we arrived!

"Quirky old cottage"

9.0

Lovely old cottage. Loved the cosy seating area with the log burner. Nice location - few miles from Cheddar. The pub at the bottom of the road (Strawberry Special) was friendly and welcoming. Sweet little community shop a few doors up, but big supermarkets close by to stock up on essentials. Good communication from host when I messaged. Sat nav will try and take you down 'Wet Rd' and then Twitchens Lane.. don't do this unless you're in a mini! Go down 'The Street' instead!

Recycling was confusing - tried to follow the instructions on the link sent but there didn't seem to be a blue or black bag, and was general mixed recycling in a bin basically. The two small beds pushed together for the double room weren't the comfiest, and the family members on the bunk beds said the creaks they heard every time they moved made them terrified. My mum really struggled on the stairs - another hand rail would probably be a good (and safe) idea. There's a few reviews that have mentioned the following a few months ago, which still are outstanding - not enough glasses, wobbly bannister and en suite toilet seat - just a few small tweaks basically. Parking was an issue - the one space provided is quite small and the other car we had to park 2 streets away in the rain one night, but nothing the host can do about this to be fair!

"A beautiful, cosy cottage, set in a quiet village."

10.0

It was very cosy and a lot bigger than we expected. A beautiful and quiet little village location, just a few miles away from Cheddar. Lots of quirky features.

Just needed a bit more lighting in the dining room as it was quite a dark room.
