Makeri Residence - Musanze , Rwanda

Clean, comfortable apartment, modern, thoughtful design and landscape, efficient use of space, paved road in modest neighborhood , off street private parking, simple breakfast included, other meals available for extra. Enjoyed the fried fish fillet dinner. Staff were courteous and professional. They washed our car, found a leak in the tire and helped us find a place to get it fixed. We had a pleasant stay.

No complaints, we had a good stay. The design and style of the property seemed more upscale than the modest neighborhood where it was located.

After three days of sleeping in tents and being in the wild, this was a wonderful place to rest and have all the luxuries we missed for. The host, Jaqueline, was very helpful and kind and she even clean our laundry for free.

It's hard to say, everythiny was on point. My congrats to the host and the whole team for the great job and attention to detail.

The accommodation is perfect and nearby the Volcanoe Park

We loved the flat. It was clean and comfortable. Bed was perfect and curtains were blocking the light. The flat has a little kitchen but well equipped. One of best showers we had in Rwanda. Laundry is included which is great considering the gorilla trekking is very muddy. You can order food as well for lunch and dinner. The staff is always nice and helpful. Internet was ok and we were able to work as well. Great location in town. Would definitely come back.

Hot water in the shower does not last very long, which is common in Rwanda

We stayed for one night and the two bedroom apartment is very spacious and feels very cozy. Jaqueline has been very responsive and helpful! She shared a menu beforehand and we ordered our dinner with her which was really delicious! She was also very flexible when we asked breakfast to be packed for us as we had to leave early in the morning. We can definitely recommend staying here!

Basic necessities were lacking a bit, esp. in the kitchen area. It was fine for us for a night, just to keep in mind when you want to stay longer.

Wow! This was so amazing. Loved the sheets of the bed but mostly the amazing staff. The two bedroom apartment was for us bizarre so well done and beautiful. Washing available, nice setup to eat with view of the vulcanoes.

We liked the friendly staff very much, they even did our laundry and cleaned our shoes after the gorilla trek, everything for free. Our studio apartment was equipped with a kitchen including gas stove and microwave, a small kitchen table, a queen-size bed and hot water shower. WiFi signal was okay in the apartment. On our departure day we booked an evening bus for onward travel and they even let us stay in another room (because ours was already booked on that day) until we had to leave for the bus station. Breakfast was really good, though you should be prepared to get a huge pot of coffee or tea. They also offered dinner, which was prepared by the host herself. Despite it taking very long (Rwandan style), it was delicious!

The water heater took ages to produce hot water, though in the end it worked very well. Whenever we left the compound and didn't tell the staff that we were leaving, the main gate was closed upon our return which is a little bit inconvenient because there is no bell to ring and there is not always someone around to call for.
