This is perfect spot for our gorilla trekking in Mufanse. We were treated so well by Jackie,the general manager,we thought she was the owner! She took care of all our needs and even shopped for a few supplies for us. We travel more than stay at home and this is definitely a rare occasion that we actually felt like family. The breakfast and dinners were delicious. We had a picky eater And even she loved the food! The staff kept the gardens and drive perfect. They scrubbed,water,cleaned everything. We could choose to eat in our apartment/condo or a beautiful upstairs terrace. We loved the place,the staff,the general help,and most of all Jackie. We felt protected and cared for. Definitely stay here again and give it highest recommendations

Property owner asked what we wanted for breakfast the night before and it was ready on time in the morning.

Single rooms have a comfy bed but there isn't a place to sit down other than the bed.

The terrace is beautiful but it was small.

The spot is nicely and tastefully equipped. Very comfortable with all necessary amenities. The management and staff are very professional and accommodating. The location is very convenient as it is not far from the city center. It is ideal for a group of friends or a solo traveler!

We travelled for Almost 30 countries in our Life, but this can be considered on the top three for services, kindness, security, hospitality, cleaning... Really feels like home.

Makeri residence is truly a fantastic place to stay, the self-contained apartments are a hidden gem, designed to provide you with everything that you need, all with a touch of style and comfort. Jacky and the team offer the best hospitality, while your experience is completely catered around your Virunga schedule. Good wifi, lovely breakfast, fantastic dinners, laundry, and parking are all included in your stay. They were kind enough to even wash my car prior to my departure. Treat yourself and enjoy true hospitality at Makeri residence.

The residence manager Jackie is amazing. She’s super helpful and friendly. Very clean and comfortable room, and it also comes with a mini kitchen. Dinner is very tasty as well.

This place is located in the neighbourhood which could be a bit difficult to find if you are traveling by bus.
