Nice pub

Toilet in room 2 not fixed to wall properly, moved when sat on it. Bed was small double not a standard double

The food was well cooked and hot The sheets were clean Breakfast was nice

The room was tiny and not worth the money,the mattress was old and hard and whoever heard of the wardrobe in the bathroom. the tea and coffee in the room was ample unfortunately the kettle was dusty and badly scaled this with the milk cartons due to expire in a couple of months made the tea undrinkable.. We asked for white coffee with our dinner which we were told they couldn't do so we asked for americano which came out with about 10mls of cold fluid in the cup. It was only taken off the bill when we complained .the staff were indifferent and hardly seemed bothered. They asked us what time we wanted breakfast and seemed put out when we said 0800 even though they advertise breakfast from 0730 till 0900.we went down at 0750 to find everything locked up and in darkness .we went down just after 0800 and they were just opening up. The cups were not clean with marks around them . At this point we just wanted out of there.

The room we stayed in had two emergency lights and the lights had a green LED which lit the whole room up all night not necessary not needed ridiculous

Having checked into the hotel and being asked for credit card details to cover any damages, this on top off Booking.com having already taken £100 as a security deposit seems a bit over the top given the condition of the accommodation. When we entered the room (room 1) we were greeted by an awful smell and when my partner went to use the bathroom, we found out that someone had used the toilet and had left a deposit!!! Not a good start. This was reported to a member of staff, who asked what do we want them to do about it?! Not very helpful! Havimg returned from our evening out, the smell in the bathroom/room had gotten worse. Would not recommend this Inn/Hotel as it really does need a little bit of a rethink as to what standards they should be adopting.

Location

Described as private bathroom which is a lockable bathroom in the corridor. It is not in the bedroom so you have to go into a shared corridor. As a woman not great. Dont do separate or shared bathrooms. Tried to get the description updated but still refusing to change this. Was offered upgrade well over pricing for area. Avoid.
