Large 4 Bed House near River Thames

Property was warm & comfortable.

Property is starting to need refurbishment. The paint on the bathroom walls was flaking and peeling away. The top of the bathroom window frame had mold. (The bathroom sink leaked, and was reported at the time) along with other water leaks from the boiler and pipework on the ground floor. Using the dishwasher resulted in no power in the property, as it tripped a fuse. It was difficult to remove the rubber bath plug, as no chain to was attached to remove it.

Nothing whatsoever

The house was an absolute disgrace filthy and dirty nothing worked broken equipment dirty beds curtains and carpets asked the owner to come round he was rude racist and no help whatsoever. AVOID THIS HOUSE

The location was great, there is room for one car to park and a residential area is adjacent so there is parking available nearby. The bed linen and towels were clean as was the dinnerware and cutlery.

I had booked it on the strength of the pictures which it became clear upon arrival, were grossly out of date. The front door had the glass taped in (badly), the lounge rug was grubby and stained, there were marks on every wall in the house, there was a black liquid stain going down the fawn coloured stairs, no lock on the only bathroom door other than a basic latch which left a gap in the door, black mould around the bath, half used toiletries left in a caddy, the beds and sofa were all rock hard and several items of furniture had stickers on saying it was the property of a well known media company. No electrical items were PAT tested and there is one fire alarm (upstairs) for the whole house which, as it’s 5 bedrooms, poses a safety risk. No rooms matched the photos as the furniture was all different and don’t get me started on the loo brushes! I contacted the host the morning after we night we arrived to highlight these issues and received no reply.

The property was lovely

No forks or tea spoons. Clould be a tad cleaner and could do with a lick of paint

The location was ideal

The house was in a poor condition & in need of improvement, a high chair was listed but wasn't provided so we contacted the owner by phone & email & got no reply or response during our 3 days . We couldn't find the TV remote so the children could watch the TV, eventually found it under the sofa to my disgust the sofa had never been moved or cleaned under in a long long time,. The house in general was very unkept & in need of a lot of tlc to many numerous let downs to list but I most definitely wouldn't recommend avoid avoid avoid would be my advice 😡

The size and location

All the beds were very low and hard The sofas only seated 5 people meaning 3 have to sit on dining chairs The oven didn’t work sufficiently Downstairs toilet seat was fixed by one hinge The inner door did not shut properly Poor maintenance and cleanliness needs addressing The plug didn’t fit the kitchen sink
