Prachtige locatie midden in de jungle maar toch maar 10 minuten lopen van het dorpje. Arif en zijn staff zijn super!! Jungle trek die we via Kupu kupu hebben geregeld was ook top! We kunnen deze accomodatie zeker aanbevelen.

Действительно тихое место прямо на реке в 10-15 минутах ходьбы от деревни. Тропинка узкая, без освещения, вечером или сложно. Но, возможно, и не нужно. В баре есть холодное пиво и парни готовят очень хорошую и вкусную еду. Вечером хорошо сидеть прямо на реке на удобных подушках в беседке и смотреть на джунгли, в которых живёт местное семейство обезьян. Очень тихо, спать отлично. Кровати удобные. Arif договориться и насчёт проводника в джунгли, и насчёт машины для дальнейшей поездки. Чемоданы ребята помогают довезти до лоджа за 50к. Удобно. Они мастера ездить на мотоциклах по такой узкой тропе. Комнаты большие, высокие потолки, два вентилятора делают сон весьма комфортным. В душевой, которая находится под открытым небом, есть горячая вода через нагреватель. В целом, впечатления только положительные !

Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Top Lage wenn man einen ruhigen Ort mitten im Jungel zum Entspannen möchte. Top Essen von Frühstück bis Abendessen mit vielen vegetarischen Optionen.

Het huisje zelf was niet schoon. We hadden meerdere grote kakkerlakken lopen en het bed stonk. Ook zijn we achteraf erachter gekomen dat we aanzienlijk meer hebben betaald voor de taxi en jungle trekking.

The staff were really friendly and always happy to chat with you in the morning while you ate breakfast. The property was also completely by itself which made it very peaceful.

Although it was advertised that there was wifi the connection in my room only worked if I was sitting on the balcony. This was a little frustrating when it came to looking up places to eat and go in the village.

Kupu Kupu is located in a beautiful setting, a little outside Bukit Lawang. The walk into town took some time, but we absolutely loved it. We were happy to stay away from the busy center and do not regret that decision at all. On the other hand, the accommodation itself was very romantic. There is a net hammock on the terrace where you can relax, swing gently, and watch the jungle. That was truly unforgettable. The owner was friendly and helpful and arranged our transfer and trek to jungle. We would especially like to thank our driver, Iqbal, who took us from Bukit Lawang to Berastagi. The journey with him was comfortable, professional, and very enjoyable. He made the long drive much more pleasant

The only thing that bothered us a little was that the bathroom was located outside the room. We had to go down some stairs to reach it, and because it was outdoors, getting there during the frequent rain was not very pleasant. The roof above the toilet was also quite short, so rain often reached the toilet area as well. We were not quite as satisfied with the three-day jungle trek. The first day was excellent and felt like a real trekking experience. The accommodation in the jungle was very good for the local conditions, and the food was absolutely outstanding. However, much of the second and third days consisted of waiting around and waiting for the journey back. If we were to arrange a jungle trek through Kupu Kupu again, we believe that a one-day trek would be completely sufficient. For us, the second and third days felt largely like a waste of time. The rafting trip on the way back was fantastic and one of the highlights of the experience.

This was a really great place to stay. It’s slightly out of the village (a short walk and we were helped with our bags). It was really peaceful and we liked being a bit quieter. The food was excellent and the team were was so helpful. The surroundings are lively and there were nice places to sit overlooking the river in the evenings. Everything was very clean and the service was exceptional Arif organised an overnight trek into the rainforest led by Wanda and supported by Juli. They were excellent. Wanda used to work for the orangutan rehabilitation centre and now only works for Kupu Kupu. He was very knowledgable and very kind and supportive. We could go at a pace that suited us (family of 4, 2 adult daughters) and they worked hard to look for wildlife, as well as making sure we felt comfortable with the trekking- it’s very up and down and can be a bit of a scramble at times. The camp was basic but clean and great to be able to dip in the river. The food was really good- we are vegetarian and they catered to that well, there was plenty of food and also fruit breaks, which were great.

Nothing, would highly recommend.

Herausragendes Frühstück , frische Säfte, leckeres Obst, leckerer Kaffee, alles zu günstigen Preisen. Das ganze Team von Kupu Kupu Garden setzt alles daran, dass die Gäste sich richtig wohlfühlen. Die Lage ist paradiesisch, und lediglich zehn Minuten Fußmarsch vom Ortsausgang gelegen. Manchmal sind die Urang Utans schon direkt auf der gegenüberliegenden Flußseite im Wald zu sehen. Die Organisation von Ausflügen ist deutlich individueller als der üblichen Agenturen vor Ort(besonders zu empfehlen ist der Night Trek mit Ipull, für Reptilienfans)
