Jacobite's Retreat, 17th century cottage in the heart of Inverness

Beautiful property with incredibly comfortable rooms and amenities.

We loved the beautiful details, convenient location, added food items and the cozy bathrobes.

Location is excellent and close to Inverness main downtown. Walkable to all of the town. Great facilities with 3 bedrooms with bath, full kitchen, and sitting room. Host provided wonderful welcome breakfast items which were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend.

Being in town, parking is not easy but we managed without too much difficulty. Loading zone in front of building was very helpful.

Kim was extremely gracious and met us at the property. She showed us the Retreat and patiently explained the parking in Old Town Inverness. She provided us with a petit breakfast although not required to do so under terms of the rental. She was marvelous.

Coffee, oatmeal and a beautful loaf of bread with butter and jam was available to us at check in. There was also a chocolate loaf cake. This made the experience even more wonderful. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Close to the coop, gelato and music. Kim did an excellent job responding to messages on check-in and tour about options.

This is just a comment, the stairs to access the bedrooms and toilets are steep. No other dislikes.

The location was fantastic and the house was very clean, perfect for a few nights with 6 adults.

Loved the location, overlooking an old church graveyard, with quick access to the river and central areas. Loved the small touches, like fresh bread and coffee. The house is very cool. Loved the host communication - very prompt, accommodating and friendly.

Perfect location in the heart of Inverness! Bedrooms were spread out which was ideal for our multi-generational group, with a bathroom for each bedroom. The hosts left an incredible welcome care package which was breakfast for our two mornings there, along with handmade soaps and shampoos. Beds were very comfortable and hosts were extremely easy to communicate with.

The property is over 400 years so has some quirks! But it has been updated to accommodate the modern traveler.
