Cosy Cheerful 2 Bedrooms Near Piccadilly, Etihad Stadium Sleeps up to 5

I don’t mean to be rude but I’m afraid that this property did not match the description and I do not have a positive comment.

The location is poor. A 30 minute, mostly unlit walk from the Etihad campus. The street was heavily littered and felt unsafe. The immediate presentation of the property was not pleasant at all. There was a stale damp smell throughout which only gave way to the smell of stale marijuana in the bedrooms. The beds contained several hairs and I question if the sheets were clean. The bathroom was relatively clean but no shower curtain. The general state of disrepair was quite shocking and there were some very creative electrics. Several of the sockets did not work. The walls were a mess, dirty and missing plaster. That house has seen some things. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel comfortable complaining although the contact on booking.com was perfectly nice via messages. This property has been creatively photographed and was not suitable for me. YMMV.

Good location for going to the CO-OP Live arena. Clean and spacious for the two of us. Slept well in a comfortable bed

No breakfast. Located near to Ethiad which is what we wanted.

It was a good location within 15 minutes walk of co op live stadium. Well equipped kitchen with plates, mugs and cutlery. Tea, coffee and sugar were provided. Lots of towels of various sizes available in bathroom.

There were some communication issues . For example, regarding access to the property ( information was provided very late) and regarding parking. This property is in a resident parking scheme area and the proprietor needs to add guests to the permit otherwise you receive a penalty council fine. This happened to us and we appealed the fine and needed the proprietor ‘s input to the council resolve. This was unacceptable to receive a fine first parking outside the property and required considerable communication with the proprietor, booking.com customer service as well as Manchester Council customer service. The fine was eventually paid by proprietor. The sofa was very uncomfortable and the double bed hard. It would benefit from a memory foam topper to make it more comfortable. The property is described as having a shower however there is a shower attachment, no hook to hang it high enough in the wall and no shower curtain. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and we struggled to climb them. This information needs adding to the property description.

Location was perfect for a gig at co op live

Bright, cheerful and clean. Was a good walking distance from the new coop arena

The outside of the property could do with some TLC as it does not give the same welcoming feeling as the inside does. Not the property owners fault but no pubs or bars within the near vacinity; corner shop does not stock alcohol - thank goodness for the 24hr Asda

Had a lovely stay it had everything we need... not too far away from coop live or Manchester City.. would stay here again 😀
