"Absolute gem"

- loved everything about this place - not often you get to stay in an authentic cottage like this, amazing views of snowy mountains - the fireplace was the highlight - the passing train was a great attraction - the vinyl player got used a lot - felt very private

- couldn't open the bedroom window - no mirror in the bathroom/toilet

The rustic cabin is great, with good, basic facilities. Enjoyed the outdoor shower and seeing the occasional train go past. Good location for visiting Arthur's Pass. Loved the nearby stagecoach inn.

Dirty. Basic surfaces were clean. But beyond that, dead flies, cobwebs and a dirty toilet. Could be an excellent base.

Lovely little cabin, enjoyed the occasional train going past, good shower and outside toilet thankfully was not a long drop 🤣🤣. Unique experience!

Probably the sandflies but we were well prepared
