Very modern studio appartment , 15 min walk from the station. there is KFC and aldi 2 mins from the flat. quiet block of flats and easy to collect keys and check in/out.

Everything was fine. having read the reviews i was worried about the deposit requested etc. But the host was very polite with their messages and I had my deposit returned with no problems.

Everything about the property is so amazing

Good location for visiting my son at Uni in Sheffield, good instructions for gaining entry. Nice size and good facilities.

Heating not working so a free standing oil heater was provided which was noisy on a high setting and ineffective on the suggested low setting, in January and for a large room. When I complained, I was told to leave the heater on while I went out which I deemed to be a fire risk, but no other solution was provided. Staff member was so rude and aggressive I didn’t feel safe so checked out and found somewhere else to stay. I was unable to contact Booking.com to help as the AI robot on the phone line tried to put me through to a human being but the call was cut so I was unable to get any help.

The location was ok.

There was an optional deposit of £20 refundable or non- refundable £100 deposit, the property has charged me the full £100 after suggesting the bedding was stained, I have disputed this. They sent me a picture which shows nothing and have suggested I drive to see it for myself, it is over 150 miles from where I live. The facilities in the flat are tired old chips to the walls, the rug looks like it has been used in a butchers, the bedding around 35 years old and the radiator was hanging off the wall and not working. It would have been good value for money & I can accept to get what you pay for, but some of the things in this flat were beyond belief. Then to be charged £100 for bedding which may as well have been bought second hand for £3 is ridiculous. Save yourselves the hassle and pay the £20 non- refundable as they will find a reason to charge you the full amount for something you haven’t done; even if you had taking a completely unreasonable amount. They then ignore you, so you cannot receive even a partial refund. Booking. Com have agreed this is unacceptable and are monitoring whether they continue to do business with this property.
