County House Escape - courtyard & free parking

It's an excellent location and the kitchen is very well kitted out. The bathroom is nice and it is handy having Sainsbury's right there (couple mins walk).

The hosts were very obliging with early check in which we really appreciated but the communication via booking.com was clunky, and the phone line that was set up never went through to someone even though I was on hold for about 30 mins at one point. The house is very very cold and takes a while to heat up. Even though we stated in our booking there were four of us, and we had paid for four, the linen was not set out and was quite hidden. We contacted the host and they did get back to us, but a hardcopy manual in the house regarding basics like heating/wifi/linen would have been much appreciated and made things smoother.

Brilliant location - a couple of minutes walk into the city centre. Very convenient free parking. Heating aside, a comfortable flat to stay in.

The flat was very cold (February stay) and the heating just wasn't up to standard. The heater in the lounge didn't work and the two small plug in heaters took many hours to heat the room up. Not helped by drafty external doors. A little draft-excluding tape would help. No instructions for the two heaters that did work and how to turn them on when cold. Pretty bad this issue hasn't been sorted as heating has been listed as a major issue on a few reviews going back several months. Also, no info on what recycling is accepted nor where to put it.

The double doors to the garden very drafty ,from bottom of door and between the doors when closed ,when the curtains were closed the bottom of the curtains were blowing out ,when sat on sofa feet get very cold .the heater on wall not working in the lounge ,has not been since October as I read a review stating this, which by now should be repaired ,yes had oil heaters in there ,but with the very drafty doors was not very warm, not enough heat from these to keep room warm

It was a very nice apartment in the centre of York, very close to everything. Very clean.

The heater in the living room didn't work, which made the room very cold. We were supplied with a small portable oil filled heater which didn't really heat the room. Shame, as apart from that, everything was great.

Lovely apartment, clean, well stocked with all necessities and very well presented. Very welcoming. Lovely bathroom, kids loved the mirror with lights!

On our last day, water wasn’t hot for shower in the morning, may have just been a slight blip with boiler but we managed. It as our last day and we were only going home.
