Finest Retreats - Victory Mill - Apartment One

Beautiful old renovated store / grain mill in lovely village of Thornton Le Dale. Very spacious, modern living within an old property. Very clean, everything thought of and provided for, including outside BBQ area and dog walk field.

Only minus was, for 4x full grown adults there was no real 4th comfy chair to relax in. A sofa and a rocking chair. Whilst 3x adults could squeeze onto the sofa …. It wasn’t ideal. Surprised there wasn’t another large chair to ensure real relaxing comfort for 4x people. One of us had to keep sitting on a dining room chair or on one of the padded top boxes. It was ok for 4 day stay, but wouldn’t stay here again if staying longer due to this issue which could so easily be sorted with so much space in the lovely living area available.

Lovely modern spacious apartment complete with everything you need. Quiet location and within a short walking distance from the centre of the village and walking footpaths. Plenty of parking was a bonus and a small outdoor area with seating and a table if you want to sit outside. Happily stayed here for our 2 weeks holiday and would definitely stay again.

Not a problem for us but thought I had better mention that the bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen which may be an issue for some people.

Brilliant location, close to everything. Particularly if you are visiting Mathewsons in Thornton le Dale. The apartment has everything you need for staying and there was a nice walk into the village with lots of seats on route

As it is dog friendly, it would be good to have a wee gate at the end of the cobble patio to secure dogs at the front. The bed is very low, especially with anyone who has mobility issues, but it does give you a brilliant sleep. But I noticed that others had commented that the bed was low.

The accommodation was in a lovely quiet area there was a dog walking area picnic tables and barbecue facilities.Very short walk past a stream to the lovley village of Thornton le dale passing the most photographed cottage on the way.The accommodation was clean and comfortable the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need.

The only thing for me not to give five stars was either the TV or the internet connection wasn't good kept cutting out not that we come on holiday to watch TV but wasn't working well.

Fantastic location in Thornton le Dale, which is very beautiful. Great for walking the dog. So much to do in the surrounding area. Kitchen well equipped. Apartment well presented - good furniture and decoration.

A gate at the end of the patio so that the dog couldn't escape into the car park. Bathroom - clean the base of the shower doors/tray. Clean beneath the plug. Clean the corner of the floor between the washbasin and shower. Put in light above bathroom mirror. Put in shelf in shower. Include shower gel. Kitchen needs better cleaning - fridge around salad container needs cleaning and other areas in cupboards. A chest of drawers in the bedroom would have been helpful, and a mirror. One loo roll feels mean and no welcome pack.
