The Astor - All Suites Hotel Candolim Goa

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and can highly recommend it! Everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room was incredibly spacious and perfectly equipped for our group of five — plenty of space, great amenities, and very comfortable beds. The staff truly made our experience even better. Everyone was consistently friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their professionalism and warmth did not go unnoticed. A special highlight was the included shuttle service, which was extremely convenient and reliable. It made getting around so much easier and added great value to our stay.

The Astor is a gem of a find in Candolim. Large bright room with complimentary mini bar, beautiful pool, not too big, with such comfortable seating, and bar. The food is 5star food and so much love in their food. But what makes this hotel and beaut is it amazing ever smiling and courteous staff. Great location for the Goa experience ...I can't wait to return.

The breakfast and the pool was amazing.but I would like to request you to please add some extra security near the children's pool area.

Clean modern new boutique hotel. Staff wise - we had a couple of great experiences (Sachin in the restaurant and Soumen the duty manager)..Soumen was very helpful, courteous and really took time to speak to the guests and really is a credit to the team at Astor.

Location is at the far end of candolim (not calungute side but other way so fair distance from calungute), off the main road and set back amid what feels like a residential area. Not a lot around the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Hotel offers a "shuttle " to beach/ main road which is a taxi / car (so only takes 4 people/ one family/couple at a time) . Often have to wait for this service: Whilst we were told the hotel has 3 cars/drivers, we found had to wait around a lot because from 8-11 am there's only 1 car/driver. Then after 11am apparently 2 more drivers but the service only runs till 7pm. You can use the "shuttle" as a taxi to go further than the beach and you then pay for the service (1st km is courtesy you pay balance). Its a bit pricier than local taxis - and also means if one guest is using it to further afield this means less "shuttles" running for all other guests. See my comments above re waiting.. Further its difficult to get any other form of transport from the hotel because its so set back - as above its in a quiet residential area. Uber does not work in Goa but neither does the Goamiles app (which is supposed to be the equivalent to uber.) There is 1 small pool, lap style, with one shallow end sectioned off for small children. Pool felt very small for size of hotel. There are very limited tables/chairs/loungers around pool - nowhere near enough for number of guests. Breakfast menu was varied and what we had was made to a good standard. We didn't eat other meals there so cannot comment on those. Again the restaurant felt too small for number of guests and we did have to share a table one morning. Unfortunately other than a couple of staff members we didn't others to be helpful most of which we put down to the language barrier but in some cases it just felt like apathy. Not much going on at the hotel - especially in the evenings.
