The Stay Company, Friar Gate Bridge.

It was a short walk to the centre. The welcome pack is a nice touch.

I had stayed in a Derby Stay Company apartment before and was very satisfied. The road outside is extremely noisy and I was expecting heritage double glazing (as in their Friar Gate properties) but they were only loose single glazed sash windows that were useless at keeping noise out and made for a poor night's sleep. There were loads of minor points that added up to a disappointing stay; a completely frozen and blocked ice box, a cord on one blind broken, the salt had run out, one bedside light not working, an ineffective tin opener, unwashed sharp knives in the knife box, twin beds pushed together (not a double). In addition, the walls at the back of the bedroom were thin and we could hear the screaming baby next door/above as if it was in our room. After the first night, two black bin bags containing soiled nappies were left in the communal hall that stayed there for the rest of our stay; all in all, not what I was expecting from my previous visit.

Apartment was really clean and in a good location

The bed. They were horrible, I still have body pain from them. I got so upset I had to sleep on the carpet.

Location was good, not extraordinary as there were just a few restaurant options nearby.

The property is too small for a comfortable living on your holidays, barely space for the bed and side table. Lots of stairs inside the apartment itself if you have to move quickly between living, dining, bathroom and bedroom. Bathroom shower closet was the smallest I have experienced ever with just a small bottle of toiletries/ shower gel for two occupant for 3 days. The kitchen was adequately equipped but the overall ventilation was extremely poor with spider cobs everywhere. We even had to deal with live creatures at night, so overall very irritating

Perfect location for our concert in Markeaton Park and to walk into town in 10mins. It’s on a busy road but was never too noisy. Fantastic check in details, quick easy check in and the tea, coffee, milk, cereal etc were a very welcome surprise. Kitchen very well equipped and shower was great. Bed was very comfortable and the lounge meant we could relax in between our trips out. Car park was safe and secure.

Bit of a musty smell in the entrance hallway but as soon as we were in the flat it went.

The property was lovely and clean, everything you need for a lovely week/end stay

This is the second apartment that we have stayed in and both have been unique. The layout of the property is also very unique and adds to the enjoyment. Amazing, thank you so much.

The accommodation was good, location very good close to city centre

Comfortable apartment and is in a good location. Nice and clean also spacious the welcome pack was appreciated by me and my friend . The bed was large and comfortable, all the rooms were good size and the shower was great. Excellent location as well
