"Peaceful and relaxing"

7.0

The staff were beyond helpful, going above and beyond when I realised how difficult it would be to get taxis. They transported me. There was nothing in the village at all, but I went to relax so that was fine for me.

It was all fine for me and my purpose. It would have been difficult if Liz and Donna hadn’t been so accommodating with transport

"Fabulous, welcoming retreat."

10.0

Friendly welcome Liz the owner was away but Donna her housekeeper looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel at home and immediately relaxed. The house is quirky and full of character. Lovely breakfast, just what we like fresh berries and yogurt although cereal and full English was on the menu and I think Donna woukd have cooked anything you like!! Bed was very comfortable, added bonus of a little fridge and Tea and coffee facilities. Lovely field with a river at the back of the house, easily accessible for a walk. I would not hesitate to recommend this guest house and we plan to return when next visiting relatives x thank you Donna

"Amazing B&B we felt really looked after and the house is lovely."

10.0

Undoubtedly one of the best experiences I've had staying in a bed and breakfast. The place itself lovely, the house is charming and quiet and has a nice garden that backs onto a field with sheep, the room was very comfortable, and we had very nice food at breakfast. But much more than that Liz, who runs the B&B, was incredibly kind and really went above and beyond, she couldn't have been nicer to us. We really felt looked after and Liz saved the day for us in lots of ways.

"Heerlijk verblijf in een authentieke voormalige pastorie"

10.0

"The best B&B ever"

10.0

This is the best B&B experience we’ve ever had (and we’ve had quite a few). The room is lovely - big very comfy and lovely and quiet. But what makes this place special is the owner, Liz. She could not have been kinder, and went out of her way to help us in all sorts of ways. Truly above and beyond. She also cooks a brilliant breakfast - had in her beautiful garden. We’ll be recommending the Old Rectory to friends and family, and would recommend it to you!

"Liz made our stay totally memorable and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her or her property for anyone wanting to visi"

10.0

The property was very comfortable and Liz went out of her way to make our stay absolutely delightful. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough to set us up for the day. The location was perfect for us to visit Abergavenny town, to try out local restaurants and for all the mountain hiking we had planned.
