Kingz and Queenz - Negombo

Back again although briefly for my 4th visit. What did I like? Everything! Jason and his lovely mum Brenda are great hosts. Different room this time, but as always, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Couldn't wait to cool off in the lovely swimming pool.Back again soon!

Nothing. My favourite place to stay.

My favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka, my 3rd visit. My studio has everything needed for an enjoyable stay: big comfy bed, en suite shower room, air con plus a ceiling fan, thoughtfully decorated and very ckean. Downstairs a fridge, kettle, and oven/grill. The highlight in this hot weather is the lovely swimming pool, but best of are Jason and his mum Brenda; kind, friendly and helpful hosts who truly enjoy chatting to their guests.

Nothing. Fabulous stay.

The location for us was perfect. The pool was a welcome relief. The room was well laid out and the hosts were wonderful. The room was spacious and clean. In the evening the local area was quiet. There were a few good restaurants available within walking distance. The BBQ place was fantastic!! The dogs were very gentle and loving. The cat... well she's a cat ! We would definitely stay here again !

Hmmm? Nothing pops out. Tuk tuk to the beach was only 2 bucks Canadian.

La struttura è lontana dal caos cittadino, in una zona residenziale circondata dal verde. Perfetta per rilassarsi gli ultimi 2/3 giorni prima di volare. La camera è spaziosa e luminosa con ampio bagno finestrato. E Jason, il proprietario, è una persona d’oro che ci ha fatto sentire a casa dal primo secondo e trattato come più di semplici ospiti. L’ultimo giorno nonostante il check out ci ha permesso di rimanere in piscina fino a tardo pomeriggio. Ci sono anche 2 splendidi canoni, che abbaiano molto ma sono innocui, e un adorabile gatto!

La struttura è adiacente ai binari del treno, ma esso passa di rado e non da noia per niente!

What a little pearl in a crazy oyster. We came here for one night in the beginning of the Middle East War and were so happy to find a place that felt like a home away from home as we couldn't leave for our home country at the time we wanted to. The safety and warmth that this place provides makes you feel very at ease. You are welcomed with such hospitality and joy, like you are an old friend visiting. The house and the add on condo is actually really sweet and the architecture and structure is nicely layed out, with a little pool in the middle and couches outside to relax. Cute and homey and more like a shared living situation with even a tiny outdoor kitchen. The room we had was clean, and the place is well taken care of. Given its hospitality, Kingz & Queenz lives up to its name to treat everyone who stayes like royalty and makes sure that also alternative communities have a safe space.

Well Negombo, what is that actually? A spread out tourist infrastructure something weirdness, that is of course the surrounding of the property. You come here either to land or leave Sri Lanka, not to experience it. Be aware that the train basically runs through the house. Not for light sleepers. The train trecks are right next to the house and you might wake up thinking that a train just hit you :)) But that of course comes with all the good sides, that are just worth for a night. You can sleep when you are dead!

Op een rustige locatie gelegen accomodatie, met een lekker zwembad en fijne zitgelegenheid buiten. Het ontbijt is basic, de eigenaar absoluut niet. Wat een leuke en vrolijke man, die het echt in alles is aangelegen om het zijn gasten naar de zin te maken. Op en top (ex-)Londenaar met de daarbij behorende humor, die echt om zijn gasten geeft. Wij waren met een eigen tuktuk, die veilig kon worden geparkeerd aan de zijkant van de afgesloten tuin. Het strand was 15 minuten (rustig) lopen, diverse kleine winkeltjes in de directe nabijheid. Ook verschillende lokale restaurantjes waren binnen 5 minuten lopen bereikbaar.

Het bed was wat aan de korte kant en wat hard, maar slapen ging verder prima. De kamer is niet superruim, maar we hadden voldoende ruimte om te kunnen bewegen zonder over de tassen te struikelen.

Une belle maison confortable au calme. Chambre impeccable ! Un accueil incroyable ! Jason et Brenda sont d une extrême gentillesse !

The homestay has a lot of charm. Nice sit area and a swimmingpool. The rooms are spacious and with aircon. The host is even more charming than the location and you feel very welcomed and taken care of. By walking over the train rails you are in the local Negombo and walking the other direction you are in the tourist area.

It is near the train rail. However there are not so many trains and they quite stop at night. Less disturbing than expected.
