Little Cosy Getaway - York

Free parking right outside the cottage, but quite a narrow road. Good location, near the town centre and very close to a little convenience store and eateries.

There wasn't an opportunity to recycle, all waste had to go in the general waste bin.

Bright clean with all you need.

It was a very nice size.

There were a few areas that needed some attention. The placement of the bed in the master bedroom made it difficult to get around without climbing over. Kitchen wasn’t very well equipped some items damaged, hob directly under a cupboard & no extractor fan. Needed a little tlc decor & some furniture damaged. Didn’t seem to be a contingency plan if you happened to lock yourself out of the property (we didn’t!)

Beds were rivalling every hotel I've ever stayed in, they were so comfy! Super close to the city center (30-40 min walk), quiet area, amenities provided were amazing and very cosy! TV, kitchen appliances and bathrooms all perfect, very lovely space.

Hot water took a while to heat up and we thought we'd run out at one point but just took a while to kick in. Would have been nice to be in the garden but I understand why it was locked up so not too big of a deal!

The beds were comfortable and clean and the location was good. Close to a good bus route to the city centre, train station etc also we did walk there in about 25 mins from station. Also towels were provided but we had our own as didn't realise. Basic kitchen essentials/cooking equipment provided but again didn't use them. Was ok as a place to sleep.

The house needs some tlc and a good clean, lots of black cobwebs all over the house and one of the bedroom floors was coming apart . Also there was no heating while we were there even after following all instructions in the file left. The boiler was on but no heat from radiators. 4pm check in was a little late for us really as had to drag all bags around with us as we were spending the day in York with children. Could not have early check in at the property as the person who owns has 'cleaner's' in anytime until 4pm.

We really liked the location and the property was clean and tidy. It also had everything we needed.

Although the apartment was lovely, clean and in a good location it is in need of a little TLC and maintenance we felt. The upstairs floor felt a bit wonky and the floor did too.
