Luxury Lake - Center House

Central city location with a partial view over the lake. Very convenient to wander around the city center. Nice terrasse and all amenities in apartment

Very central location, so great for restaurants, bars, beaches, etc. There's a rocky shore that's good for snorkelling 5 mins walk away and a nice sandy beach about 10-15 mins walk away. Excursions start nearby, such as boat trips and the recommended Little Blue Train. There's a small supermarket 5 mins walk away and a larger one 10 mins walk away. The house was spotlessly clean and is very secure. Its also well equipped. There's a very nice rooftop sun terrace that's shared with the one other apartment in the building.

You can't flush loo paper (as in common) so a bidet would have been very welcome. Wi-Fi could have been stronger and faster. There's no information booklet provided, which would have been handy for things like the air-con, where to take the trash outside, etc. I'd also have liked a safe, even though the apartment seems very secure. Its important to note that the apartments location means that walking to almost anywhere does involve taking some fairly steep steps. This could be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.

The apartment has everything you need for any length of stay in the city. We stayed in 3 different locations during our trip to Crete, and this apartment had the most comfortable beds, and best kitchen. We didn't meet our host in person, but they were always easy to reach by WhatsApp and very nice and helpful.

This might change, but during our stay, only one of the bedrooms had a wardrobe. We were 4 adults, so sharing the one was a small inconvenience.

It was spotlessly clean, every need was catered for: washing machine, iron, ironing board cooking facilities etc etc. Eleni was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for her.

Central location, steps away from ‘the lake’, the sea, close to ktel bus station, but quiet residential area with no traffic noise. The terrace is really big and lovely, sunbeds, shade and non shade, dining table and chairs etc. Trip to Plaka by bus very easy - (don’t take the Agios Nicholaus boat trip to Spinalonga, go to Eliunda or Plaka by bus and take a smaller boat from there).

Everything wax perfect for us, including good communication.

The apartment is perfectly located near the lake, but in a peaceful area. We have enjoyed our private balcony during our stay, and the (shared) roof top terrace was an experience for itself. It is perfect for evening leisure where you can enjoy in the amazing lake view. The apartment is more spacious than it looks on photos and it is equipped with brandly new devices. Hosts were very kind and helpful and I hope we will back soon!
