Grand Central , 2 double bedroom apartment with free parking , Birmingham

Great location, good parking space, lovely host.

It is conveniently located near the Grand central station , there is secure free parking in the facilities , host very responsive and clear on the direction to the property

The bathroom tub is mouldy, no dishwasher liquid ( did not top up ) , hand soap container mouldy and had algae, washing machine and dryer is not performing to standard , bed could be better , but staying 1 night is fine for us . Although convenient location but coming night , the place is rowdy and feels insecure . In the middle of the night bunch of neighbours very rowdy , making noises outside the apartment and knocking on our doors .

The location was fantastic, and having secure parking was great. The kitchen was well equipped with utilities, beds were comfy and the bedding and towels were clean. Check in information was great and the host was responsive to my query. Other reviews stated that the apartment wasn't clean so we were a bit worried but actually it was fine. The bathrooms are possibly a little dated, and suffer from no natural light but we had no problems.

There was extensive scaffolding up when we visited. Not really a problem as we were just using the apartment as a weekend base but it would be annoying during the week if workmen are right outside the window. The entrance hallway, bathrooms and back bed room have no external windows or natural light. We were ok for a night or two but it wouldn't be pleasant for a long stay. The kitchen is lovely but has limited cooking equipment. We could have done with a larger frying pan! The check in process is a bit convoluted if you arrive by car. The parking is located beneath the building so you need the apartment key fob to open the secure parking door to enter the garage. This means waiting with the car by the garage door whilst one of you nips to the nearby shop to collect the key. It was not a problem for us - the directions given were very clear, but it might be an issue if you are travelling alone and need to leave your car unattended whilst you collect the keys.

The location was great, parking was easy to use. If you’re looking for convenience and just somewhere to sleep, this is a great find.

There was a lot of mould in the bathrooms, towels weren’t very clean and the doors don’t shut properly. The shower door doesn’t shut so water leaks out when showering too. Overall, I wouldn’t say the picture reflect how it looks in person. The beds could also be a bit comfier. Maybe doesn’t reflect value for money due to the cleanliness.

It was very close to the main train station.

-Very difficult to find by car. -Video was too long and confusing. -Host expected us to collect keys in another location and drop off there again- very inconvenient. -Bathroom had mould. -No full length mirrors. -Room looked bigger in pictures- misleading. - blocked sink

The place was first class and communication and assistance was excellent

Old building , under construction, elevator was broken for more than 24 hours.
