Grand Central , 2 double bedroom apartment with free parking , Birmingham

Absolutely nothing.

This apartment was absolutely filthy. Toilets and shower had not been cleaned, sheets hadn't been changed, and we were assured there would be bedding for the sofa bed, but all we got was a doona and 2 pillows without pillowcases. Between the pillows in the bag was an old dirty bra! Absolutely disgusting. There were white stains on the blue pillows and dirt in the beds. There were 4 scent sprays plugged in when we arrived, obviously trying to cover up another smell. A pair of dirty slippers were sitting in the shoe rack. It looks like someone's apartment that they vacate when there's a booking for the night. Picking up the keys is also a pain, especially when there is a concierge downstairs. This just tells me that it's not a reputable site if they have to leave the keys elsewhere because the concierge is 24 hours. The carpet outside the room looked like a crime scene. When I contacted booking.com for a refund, I was denied given that I hadn't contacted the accommodation during my stay. However, considering the way the apartment was presented and the lack of care given, I wasn't comfortable drawing attention to myself or having to meet with the owner.

Beds uncomfortable,need new mattress,owner. Informed me after that they are in process of changing mattresses

Amazing location, right outside the bullring! Couldn't fault it. Beds very comfy, can't remember the last time I slept so well!

Property could do with a deep clean...was superficialy clean but feels like it needs a good scrub, in toilet, taps etc

It hadn't been cleaned at all, it really was disgusting. In arrival outside the building we saw multiple rats. Inside there were stains on the carpets everywhere. The apartment, the cupboards in the kitchen were sticky, you couldn't wash the dishes, the hob was dirty and cracked, the mirrors were cracked. I cannot believe the other reviews are legitimate .
