Curlews Rest - Gateway to the Aran Islands

Delighted to find 2 bathrooms (one ensuite). Wasn't aware there were 2. The kitchen had everything we needed. Both double beds were comfortable with lovely fresh cotton bedding. We also enjoyed the games available to play. The lounge was comfortable. The views spectacular, and there is outside seating if you are lucky enough to get nice weather (we were). The tap water is very nice to drink and we enjoyed some complimentary sparkling water too. The Hostess was lovely and very obliging. Thank you very much for the lovely dinner you provided. I visited with my son. We came on the 424 bus (you can ask the driver to let you off at the end of the road, you don't need to walk to Rossaveel Crossroads, but only 15-20 mins walk if you wait for the official stop). So no real need for a car if the reason for your visit is the Aran islands. We arrived on the Saturday, visited the Innishmore on the Sunday and went back to Galway on the Monday. We had a lovely weekend here and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thank you x

Nothing to dislike. Would say to anyone coming by bus to bring enough groceries for at least the first night as the shop is a bit further than it looks on Google map.

Lesley war sehr lieb und zuvorkommend. Wir haben ein Frühstück von ihr bekommen, welches soooo lecker war 🤩. Das Haus liegt direkt am Strand und wir konnten uns im Garten frei bewegen. Es war so ruhig und so entspannend, einfach toll!

Ubytování je samostatná polovina domku. V druhé bydlí velmi příjemná a ochotná majitelka, které nám pomohla se vším, co jsme potřebovali a dala nám i další tipy na náš výlet a dobrou restauraci. V kuchyni byl připravený čaj i káva, rovněž základní koření. Co bylo zcela výjimečné, paní majitelka nám upekla opravdu velmi chutný chléb a jablečný koláč. Byla určitě nejlepším ubytovatelem za naše 2 týdny v Irsku.

Zařízení je sice starší, ale vytváří opravdu domácí venkovskou atmosféru.

Un accueil merveilleux et affectionné. Lesley est adorable et pleine d’humour.

La gentillesse de Lesley, ses petites attentions pour notre 20ème anniversaire de mariage ! Cadre superbe, les pieds dans l’eau et quelle vue ! Le calme de cet endroit est apaisant. Je recommande vivement.

It was clean, quiet and the hostess was very pleasant and helpful. we loved the chocolate cake.

A TV would have been welcomed.
