Green Market Place

We chose Green Market Place for a week-long getaway. Our arrival coincided with a loud concert event in the square that ran till approximately 11 pm. Inside the apartment, we were greeted by a spacious unit but also by an immediate, overwhelming nauseating odor near the entrance. We traced this back to dirty, wet cleaning cloths and a container of stagnant filthy water stored in the geyser cupboard. There was also a distinct cooking smell emanating from the kitchen cupboards(above the counter and the microwave cupboard) , suggesting they hadn't been properly aired or cleaned. The bathroom sink was also clogged and all should have been identified during prior inspection. We promptly informed the host, Yudi, of these issues and noted missing amenities listed in the booking description. He responded quickly with a message and visited the next day, agreeing that the smell was unsatisfactory and promising to deliver the missing items. The resolution provided was inadequate and deeply disappointing. While we were out, a room freshener was sprayed, which did nothing but mix with the existing odors, creating a nauseating scent that lingered for 4 days. We were shocked to find the source of the initial odor—the dirty cloths—simply thrown outside our front door. It was clear upon closer inspection that the property receives only a superficial clean. We found a thick layer of grime under the stove top and within the cupboards. Additionally, for a 7-night stay for two people, only two bath towels were provided for the entire duration. Overall impression: The apartment has potential, but the lack of basic hygiene by the owners/hosts,  their failure to inspect the unit appropriately before our arrival and the host's failure to resolve the issues properly were unacceptable for the price paid. There is a fair amount of noise inside the building by other occupants late at night. Location Warning: This area is incredibly disruptive.

Centrally located, save parking, good views.

Second room does not have air-conditioning or a fan.

Noise. Smell of stale cigarette smoke in the apartment. Lack of aircon in second room.

Location is great, it catered for our needs. Value for money. Room set up was also great.

kitchen utensils were dirty and we could not use them . Drainage was not great, water was pooling in the shower. Sofa could do with some deep cleaning.

The place is exactly as on pictures. Clean and well equipped.

The neighbours’ noise and smoking. Couch needs some freshening up.

The place and Location was amazing!! Love the staff Patric to be precise. Very helpful and knows the area very well. Kitchen is fully eqquipped!! Loved it. Quite and stylish place, amazing views from the pool side. I would recommend it to anyone anytime. Sometimes there are strippers just outside when you step of of the apartment, might be disturbing a bit, but it's not a train smash. You are literally close to everything shops, clubs, restaurants and attractions. Uber struggles a bit to get entry, but they evetually get to you. No daily cleaning might be a problem for untidy people. Overall the place is amazing i could go back again anytime when i go to cape town. 8/10 !!

We head a pleasent stay! The accomodation is perfect for a langer stay in Capetown, as the staff is very friends and helpful and it is located direct in the center.

The market is a little noisy, when the dealer build up and down their pavillons in the morning and evening.

It was very central so walking distance to my conference venue which was important to me. Security was excellent, area around was dodgy as in central CBD. Was clean and had all that that was needed for my 4 night stay.

It was quite hot upstairs, a standing fan would have been very helpful!
