"Relaxing break in nature"

9.0

Property was private and peaceful with parking space right outside. Gardens were beautiful with estuary and wonderful views just beyond the garden gate. Lots of areas to sit outside and relax under shady trees Felt immersed in nature. It was very hot weather when I stayed so the thick stone walls of this lovely little barn conversion offered a welcome cooling environment. Very relaxing place to stay-will definitely book again!

"Quite small cosy studio in a quiet location."

7.0

It was self catering, very quiet location, 5 mins drive to local town with bars and beaches.

Not walkable into town, had to drive.

If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy retreat away from the hustle and bustle, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Will be nice if they provide tea and coffee on arrival

"Lovely property in a lovely location with everything we needed."

9.0

Good location to Barmouth and surrounding area, the property itself was really nice and had everything we needed. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived with plenty of towels and a spare quilt etc…. We had good communication from the owner before, during and after our visit.

Nothing that we didn’t like. The only thing which is just a small thing, would be a cover for the kitchen door window.

"Autumn getaway"

7.0

Lovely location, excellent studio apartment. My son and I slept in our own sleeping bags on the double bed so it felt like we were glamping! Wi-Fi, tv, radiator all worked no probs. Little walk through gardens to the estuary, where you can climb down onto a rock and look at the fantastic view.

Took ages to figure out the oven...we don't have gas oven at home so ended up with bottom grill on by mistake(never heard of a bottom grill) and burnt pizza bottoms with uncooked tops..spent ages googling what the symbols meant and luckily saved the pizza before it was too late...worst pizza ever though. Maybe have instructions for those unused to gas? Turns out it was far easier than we thought!!!

"Cosy nook and artist's dream in southern Eryri"

9.0

Loved the studio/one room apartment - bed comfy, heating cosy, shower very good, kitchen newly fitted with all accessories needed. The building was self contained and had been nicely converted from some kind of old barn. I booked this accommodation as I wanted a view over the Mawddach estuary, initially I was disappointed as I thought the only view was through a small barred gate at the bottom of the garden, but then my husband found we could open the gate and we could go out onto the bank overlooking the estuary - as artists this was absolute paradise, with views over towards Cadair Idris on the south bank and towards Barmouth Bridge to the west (see photos). We had no need to find the nearby Panorama Walk, we just stayed on the riverbank all day sketching. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful; being off season (mid October) and the neighbouring larger holiday let being empty, I would imagine that if there were more people staying we might not have had the place to ourselves so much. We had no problem with road noise as some have reported; we found it perfectly quiet although on Saturday a lot of motorbikes going up and down the road to Barmouth during the day. As it was we were reasonably lucky with the weather and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The delightful fishing and seaside town of Barmouth is 5 minutes away by car. I wish I had known that it is possible to walk across Barmouth Bridge, something for next time. Thanks very much to John who stayed in constant touch via email.

Nothing to make a fuss about, and any minor issues were communicated to the owner John who is receptive to feedback. No usual freebies (tea coffee etc) but I had my own, I'm sure they would be supplied if asked for.
