The City House by Tas

We had a truly phenomenal stay at City House by TAS – honestly, for the price, it’s an exceptional place! The house is spread across three floors: • On the ground floor, there’s a spacious living room with two fireplaces for a cozy fire, a guest WC, a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, a lovely terrace, and a large garden with parking right in front of the house. • The first floor has two bedrooms, each suitable for two people, and one of them has its own private bathroom. • The top floor (second floor) features a small office space and another bedroom with a private bathroom. The whole house has that charming traditional British feel – you really get the sense you’re living like a local. It’s perfect for families with kids: the kitchen has everything you need (including a dishwasher and washing machine), and there’s even a place to hang your laundry. And the cherry on top? There’s a wild plum tree in the garden, bearing fresh fruit in July – perfect for snacking straight from the tree or even making a pie! We also want to highlight how incredibly kind and helpful the lady who prepared the house was. We met her just as she finished cleaning, and she took the time to show us everything and make sure we were comfortable. A truly lovely British hostess! We absolutely recommend it and would gladly stay again.

The property was very clean and had all the necessities needed

A bit of confusion and lack of communication from the staff. I received an email which said that the property confirmed that we were able to check in at 2pm. But when called on the day the property said that it was a "provisional" confirmation. Nowhere in the email this was indicated. Then the staff member then said due to late check out from previous stay, that it would be only ready by 3 as the property needed to be cleaned first. This was not communicated to us whatsoever, and I had to chase this up for them to notify this. Which I found a bit odd if it was a provisional confirmation of an earlier check in. Then why was it not communicated in the first place that the property would not be ready until 3 ( I called at 2pm since we arrived at the property without any check in details) During this we waited outside for a whole hour, where there was no one in the property in or out. Then I called at 3:10 for them to say that it was now ready. When no one came out of the property.

The house is gorgeous, kits of space, great layout and really nice feel. Lots of natural light and it has a lovely breeze when the windows are open.

It was tidy and well set out but not that clean throughout, there was a bit of dust. Also a little clunky with checkin and checkout.

Nicely presented and clean

Very spacious rooms with three bathrooms. Location was good. The house was clean. Would have been nice if there was some essentials, e.g bread and milk.

The property was fine. I was told after I booked that I had to pay a £150 deposit, which I have never done in the past. Should be more transparency.

Deceptively large inside although it looked very small from the outside beautifully finished lots of attention to detail comfortable beds, lovely garden lawn garden and outdoor area to sit and smoke or eat. Shower very good quality and also good water pressure. Towels and bedding smell beautiful and fresh.

We honestly couldn’t find faults with any aspects of the property. The stairs are perhaps a little bit noisy because they are not carpeted but for a practical and modern feel we thought it worked really well. We just made sure that we removed our shoes as requested by the hosts Furniture was very comfortable. I think they’ve really thought this project through and their hard work shows

Located in a quiet neighborhood, quite a big house, has all facilities. Very reasonable price, could be an excellent stay.

Our major complaint is about not very clean kitchenware (see photos). And I wish the interaction for the check-in were more straightforward. I've got used to online systems, but here I had to call Tas in order to pay them and obtain check-in details.

Comfortable beds, nice linen House in nice area

Check in was awful, id not received any information about you paying on arrival. Id wrongly assumed payment had been made. With poor signal outside the house it proved a lengthy process causing unnecessary stress after a long journey. When we finally got in .. On the surface it was clean but lots of cobwebs and dust. Used dish cloth and scrubber in the sink. Garden not mowed so not usable
