My booking on Booking.com did not go through with automatic payment successfully, but I did not receive any notification. I was only informed that payment was required shortly before check-in. We had to spend some time seeking help from a friend in the UK to complete the payment and finally check in. When I opened the door, I was shocked by the strong odor inside the house — to be specific, an overwhelming smell of curry. It was so intense that we had to leave the door open for ventilation. However, it was very cold at night, and none of us could find the heater switch as there were no instructions provided. I tried calling, but since it was late, no one answered. So we had to endure the cold throughout the night. Additionally, we were told to keep quiet both before and during check-in, especially during quiet hours. I understood and accepted this. However, due to the flooring issues, it was nearly impossible to walk without making loud noises. There was also a cold warning at the entrance stating that if the neighbors reported noise, the police would be contacted and we would be asked to leave. As a result, I had to warn my friends to move and wash up very carefully. Overall, our stay was very unpleasant. It was, in fact, the most disappointing night out of the eight accommodations we had during our trip to the UK.

The house has a good vibe to it and it seems easy to find a parking spot.

The house was very cold, despite assurances from the landlord that it would be warm upon our arrival. It did not get better over the night. Communication was not optimal.

Very spacious, great value for money in that sense.

The purpose of this stay was a stopover to ‘chill’ after a long drive, but we were unable to connect to the WiFi, even the TV would not connect, and there was limited signal, making it difficult to order dinner. It was also very cold in the house and there was no thermostat to boost the heating to warm it through.
