The City House by Tas

Location perfect, just a few minutes away from where we were working. A short walk to a lovely pub serving Greek food. Lots of space and very well laid-out, much nicer than being in two hotel rooms.

It was a really hot day but we couldn't sit outside, as no outdoor furniture and the garden was really overgrown.

Location, cleanliness , homely feel

Everything we could have needed was already there. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Bottled water on arrival with little biscuits, Most information we needed was on the walls And it was very clean and comfortable.

Only 1 shower worked at a time,

It was like a tardis…surprisingly deceptive from the outside, the accomodation spread over 3 floors with my friend’s grandson being very pleased to have the whole top floor to himself…his own bedroom & bathroom!IThe house was immaculately clean with plump white towels & beautiful beds& bedding.

like that the keys are at the front door

Was not a good system to get the keys - could have been organised a day before arriving. We arrived at the property and had to pay before we could the keys - then the cards weren't accepted and it was all very stressful after a long day with elderly parents.

The location was perfect. The bus stop to catch the bus into Cambridge was only a 2 minute walk away from the property. It was nice to have doors out into the garden to leave open and a garden to sit in.

The stairs were a bit steep and big to get to the upstairs. There was a step down straight into the property which I nearly fell down, and a step down into the kitchen, and one between the upstairs bedroom and the bathroom which took a bit of getting used to.
