Catba Central Hotel 2

Very helpful staff and it's in a good location. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us on our stay with a family of 5. We will return here on our next visit.

This is the best hotel I stayed in Vietnam so far! It was so clean, the bed was super comfortable (which is uncommon in Vietnam) and the view was beautiful. It’s also far away enough from the construction to have some sort of quiet on the island. The man at reception was also so lovely and welcoming. 10/10 recommend!

The room was neat and tidy with an awesome view, especially at night. Staff were so friendly. The things that bothered me, though, is that this site has not updated their pictures and information. There is no pretty patio with flowers all around to eat breakfast. It is just concrete and mess like a garage, so only 1 single table has been set up in the lobby, a little awkward i must say. They are building next door and maybe this hotel is as well but then it needs to be advertised as it is currently so there is no surprises and false advertising. There was also no safety deposit box as advertised on this site, so I ended up carrying everything valuable with me. Purely because when we leave our key card at reception, it doesn't get put away. Each time I get back, it's still laying on the table, so I didn't feel safe leaving valuables in my room. The front of the hotel at the entrance could use some attention, no money needed, just make it neat. Also the biggest shock of all is when you walk to view the ocean that we all expect to see, thete is nothing but building site right along the water front. They are turning that whole bay into a resort pushing all the water back. I feel very sorry for the current businesses like a hotel called ocean view or something. There is for sure no ocean view any longer. I cant think of anything else now, overall, I was super happy with service from reception who did everthing including bring my breakfast, and the bed was super comfy. Loved my room.

Personel, the location and the value for the price

There are few facilities, but they are fully equipped with some necessary items. The room price is very cheap so I did not expect more. The hotel owner is friendly and lovely. Location also good!

I went during the wet season in the north of Vietnam so the bathroom floor was wet, this point is a bit uncomfortable but this season I guess I have to endure it.

Just like in the photos. Great location. Close to everything. Thang(?) was extremely courteous and helped us out with whatever we needed. Rooms are large and clean. Beds very comfortable. Quiet at night.

This is rated 2 star so you have to accept that at this price you won’t be staying in a palace. Water pressure was very low and one night had no hot water. Unfortunately construction on road outside means that noise started around 6:00am (but this did not bother me). Wifi practically nonexistent.

Friendly staff, very helpful . Comfy, soft beds. Price/value offer is the best in Cat Ba. Location good / short walking distance from centre .

Everything was good , and as promised on the site.
