Hay's Wood Retreat - Holiday Lodges

Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, warm underfloor heating, lots of natural light, parking next to lodge, lodges well spaced out, bathroom to bedroom ratio. Nice furnishing.

Lounge area far to small for number of people staying in lodge no.19. Ensuite for main bedroom had smelly drains, this made entire bedroom smell. Outside lightening did not work on our lodge. En-suites are small wet rooms, everything gets soaked when you shower.

I loved the lodge and the location and the animals!

Only thing that was a negative was the water stopped working occasionally due to the tank being empty.

Group of 7 adults Great location, good size cottage staff on point, and always available to help. Cottage clean, comfortable warm even though we went in november. Got there late, and we didn't realise that the wifi wasnt working we called out of hours number as reception was closed within 30 minutes a lovely lovely lady I didn't catch her name came and sorted it for us. WE WILL definitely be visiting again 😊 p.s the picture don't do it justice 1000 x better in person.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The cottage and the whole homestead are beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. Everything was exceptionally clean, cosy, and thoughtfully prepared. The jacuzzi was a fantastic bonus — spotless, relaxing, and a perfect way to end the day. The hosts clearly care about every detail, and it truly shows. Everything looked even better in reality than in the photos. We would happily return and highly recommend this place.

The only thing we found difficult was locating the property in the dark. Even though we had clear instructions, the signs were very small and not illuminated, so it took us some time and a bit of wandering to find the entrance.
