High quality decor and furnishings . 3 comfortable sofas in lounge. Deep bath and huge shower. Well maintained surroundings. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Would have preferred terrestrial tv.

It’s quiet and secluded

The operation is poorly run sadly which is a shame as it’s s place with lots of potential. There were no towels provided on arrival - had to chase 3 times and the towels came at night after we had gone to sleep . The Wi-Fi stopped working one of the days , no TV for half a day . The company refused to acknowledge those issues despite complaining both to this site and directly to. The gym is for 16 years and up which was only communicated day before arriving . The properties was hot with no air con. Note no washing machine . The campfire area was excellent and the coffee shop was very good as well.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. We stayed here with a large group of families, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the start, the property had blocked sinks, lights that didn’t work, and cobwebs everywhere a clear sign it hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained. The lights were only fixed on the last night, which was pointless by then. When I raised these issues with the cleaners, they were rude, and when I took the matter to management, I was shocked at their response. Instead of addressing our concerns, they gave excuses and acted as if we were being unreasonable. When I mentioned I would leave an honest review, the manager actually said: “Don’t threaten me with a review, I’m not bothered about it.” That says everything about the level of service and care you can expect here. As a paying guest, I expect basic standards: cleanliness, working facilities, and professionalism. None of that was provided. I was embarrassed, especially as the lead organiser of the trip. I will not be staying here again and will be advising friends and family to do the same. Hopefully, this review encourages the host and management to take guest feedback seriously and make real improvements because right now, this place is nowhere near acceptable.

Lovely setting, comfortable beds and the convenience of multiple bathrooms was appreciated. Having the covered verandah area outside the lodge was great too.

Although the lodge was very well kitted out overall, there were some issues: one of the sliding doors wasn’t well sited on the runners, so it wouldn’t lock properly unless two people worked together, and one window was a struggle to operate, again because of the lock or someone forcing it. There were some other problems eg with the blade on a kitchen knife being snapped and broken, and other minor cosmetic issues. These aren’t important, apart from the fact that you don’t want to be blamed for pre existing damage, and the property isn’t cheap. The staff were really friendly and helped resolve an issue with the TV connection.
