Stylish & Central 2BR Stockbridge Gem

The location of the flat was ideal, close to city centre, attractions and it is in a lovely area of Edinburgh as well. The flat has everything you needed for a short stay and was cozy. The communication with the Calton Living team (the administrators) was great and fast. We recieved all details we needed quickly and they supported us throughout the stay.

There was mould in the bathroom and the whole house smelled badly of mould. One of the guests had suffered from asthma attacks cause of the smell and it was quite heavy for breathing. The shower door comes off the rails and it is dangerous as well. This seemed to have been reported consistently in reviews but nothing was done about it. The place is a bit more worn off compared to the pictures, which wouldn't be too bad if there was no mould.

Location is good near stores and pubs, and restaurants.

The secomd bathroom in the basement was unusual.

Quirky pad. In a nice area. Well equipped. Great little pub round the corner.

Needs some tlc & freshening up. Dirty entrance carpets & paintwork. Bathroom - Shower door falling off & bathroom door sticks (both dangerous) No privacy in bedroom without shutting curtains, window faces & is level with walkway. No TV channels only Netflix available if you have a sign on.

Downstairs facilities (damp smelling and dampish dark feel to it), no window in second bedroom and no milk in fridge or even long life milk.

The apartment was well equipped. It was lovely to have a dishwasher and a full-sized gas range. The washer and dryer were a bonus and worked efficiently. The shower had the best water pressure we experienced throughout our trip and wasn't confusing or hard to adjust. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The full-size refrigerator was also a plus. The location was convenient to bus lines, shops, and restaurants, and Edinburgh is a very walkable city. We would definitely stay here again. As a plus, we used the airport transfer offer that was attached to our booking. Our driver, Theodorus Dionysopoulus, was fantastic! He arrived a bit early, was friendly and humorous. He was also really informative on the drive to the airport, and kept us entertained throughout the drive. I highly recommend him as a driver to anyone using your service!

There were only a few things that could be improved. The kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils (chiefly a spatula for flipping eggs!) The bathroom sink is plumbed backwards, which is confusing (hot is to the right instead of the left). Two things in the bathroom need to be looked at and repaired. The shower door does not stay on its track properly. Twice it came off the track and could have seriously injured me if I had been less aware. And the toilet seat is not attached properly and not suited for the shape of the toilet (it is square, and the toilet is not). As a result, it slides around precariously, and could cause a larger person to fall and get injured.

Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, comfortable living room... It was perfect. It was located in a beautiful part of Edinburgh a short walk from everything. Easy entry.
