Stylish & Central 2BR Stockbridge Gem

Location

The unit was filthy. We payed an enormous extra charge for cleaning, but the place we received on arrival was filthy. Dirty carpets, walls, mold in the bathroom, filthy bottom to the cot, cobwebs everywhere etc. Clean accommodation is the bare minimum, and this place fell far short of the mark.

Location was perfect.

Description wasn't clear that the basement floor (kitchen and bedroom) had no windows. Didn't bother us but I think should have been mentioned.

The beds were very uncomfortable, the washing machine sounded like a jet plane

Lovely flat, located about 10 minutes from Princes St. Has everything you need for a stay in Edinburgh in a great location. 2 double bedrooms with a bathroom and a separate toilet. Would definitely recommend. All information for getting in etc was quick and easy.

The lock to the front door( the flat is in a building with about 20 other flats) was dodgy, you had to spend time wiggling the key in the lock before the door was open, which was stressful at night. Also there was no light switch to the stairs to the basement, which meant going down the stairs in the dark to turn on the light downstairs. Not ideal as the stairs are cast iron no carpet to cushion a fall.

The location for the property was spot on. It was easy to get to, and the property was lovely. The place was clean, and was suitable for us to spend our one night before we continued on with our holiday.

The inside door knob of the ground floor bedroom was occasionally stuck. We needed someone from the outside to turn the door knob to let the person in the ground floor bedroom out.

Great location, very well proportioned property with plenty of room. Beds were very comfy and it was an added bonus that the downstairs bedroom was pitch black so got a great sleep!
