The New Rushcart Inn & Country Dining

This was Yorkshire hospitality at its finest. We enjoyed a comfortable two night stay and the room had everything we needed including an iron and ironing board (we were off to a wedding so needed a bit of a press). The hosts and staff couldn't do enough for us. We were lucky enough to arrive on a Wednesday night which is pie and a pint night. Delicious pie, crispy chips, mushy peas and a huge jug of gravy washed down with a pint of Landlord. Breakfast was also superb and good value for money. Our room had a gorgeous view up across the fields which made this Londoner very happy. I couldn't wait to get out and explore the local area and those stunning views. We were looked after like family.

Warm friendly greeting when we entered the pub and throughout our stay from both staff and locals. Evening meal and breakfast great value for money and delicious. Bedroom cosy, comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities.

Lovely little pub with a good atmosphere. Our room was very spacious with a decent view. Beds are very comfortable and very soft pillows.

If wanting an early night you may struggle due to the noise from the bar.(Didn't bother us though). Cups for your tea/coffee in room are very small.

Bathroom was a little grubby, corners skirting boards could have been cleaner, no vent or extractor fan in bathroom so that was a little odd. Back of the door in the bedroom really not clean

Fabulous one night stay on my way to Wales, spacious room, cosy and warm with a lovely view and great en suite with loads of hot water. Evening meal in the bar was amazing, the chips must be up there with the best I’ve ever tried! And the Stilton sauce was superb, unlike some this is very stiltony (!) couldn’t fault the meal. I’d requested breakfast before I headed off and I am so happy I did - again this was really good, great quality produce and cooked to perfection and came with a huge pot of tea! I would highly recommend anyone looking for accommodation or food in the area to give them a visit - I found my stay faultless and I will dream about the food for a long time! I definitely need to return to try their steak & Stilton pie 😍 Thanks everyone for an amazing stay

Bed was 2 singles, bit uncomfortable and it was dirty under bed, however still sorry she left comments about it in book
