breakfast was average but ok. We had a message prior to arrival that the bar is closed on Monday & Tuesday so only a complimentary cold breakfast would be provided. That didn't happen and we found the access to the bar was locked and there was no staff on the premises. There was no information about this, we left through a side door without any breakfast.

the rooms on first appearance were nice. The beds were clean and comfortable but neither sheets, duvet cover or pillow cases had been ironed. The wash basin was blocked, on investigation it was absolutely strangled with hair and other gunge, my husband cleared on his birthday (not good). We had, had an incident with ordering coffee after a meal. They could only provide a cafetiere for one as all the others had been broken and not replaced. The place seemed to be run by young staff, if they couldn't replace a cafetiere what chance was there of unblocking a sink!!!

Room was small, basic but clean

Shower was small ... Had to open the door to be able to bend down to wash legs. Towel rail leaked badly and had to be turned off.. Wanted to make a cold drink in room ... But pub had no ice. Email confirmation of booking says no cooked breakfast was available but did say a complementary breakfast basket would be provided ... No one seemed to know about this!

The location was perfect and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful pub dinner our first evening there and a fantastic breakfast on one of our mornings. The pillows were the only thing I would change, but I would definitely choose to stay here again!

My experience with The New Rushcart Inn was incredibly frustrating. After booking a room for September 7th on Booking.com, I received a call from the manager the night before. He informed me that they were overbooked and that I needed to cancel the reservation immediately. He assured me I would receive a refund. I have made three attempts to reach the Inn through Booking.com and left a voicemail, but I have not heard anything back. Booking.com has also been unable to get in touch with them. I believe the manager asked me to cancel the reservation from my side to avoid a penalty from Booking.com, leaving me without a room and without a refund.
