The smell of paint, and was a little noisy St times. But, due to the festival there where more people moving about.

Clean, functional with coffee/tea provided.

Had been recently painted which meant that without windows open, the smell was strong. Windows open onto the street, meaning they can’t be left open or opened on a latch.

Superb host and apartment was modern and clean, had everything you needed. The location is great, only a 10/15 minute walk to Gunwharf Quays and attractions.

It didn't feel very safe in the area, with the bedroom window smashed and louts shouting outside which you can hear every word when the windows are shut. There is a hole in the bathroom wall which still could be fixed easily. The sofa is a little on the worn side and unfortunately the bed was so uncomfortable I didn't get a great nights sleep. Fan and blind were broken too. Just a few things to fix, double glazed windows and better more secure entrance would do justice.

It was perfect for a short stay. Communication with host was excellent. We wanted to get into the property earlier than we had originally advised as we had obtained tickets to a fund raising event to see the Royal Marines Band perform in front of HMS Victory in the early evening. This was no trouble at all. Parking was easy and given the location we did not need to use our car at all while we stayed.

I was a little dubious about this apartment after reading some of the reviews but I needn't have been! Location was great, really close to Gunwharf Quays and the Dockyard and Seafront. Parking was easy and cheap and there was good communication with the host beforehand. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, spacious and had everything you needed. Very impressed with the shampoos/showergels/make-up remover/handwash etc. Plenty of cleaning products too! Lots of teas/coffee etc and everything you need in the kitchen if you were self catering!

The noise was a little bit of an issue. Whilst there is double glazing, you can still hear the busy road noise and people talking when walking past. I appreciate the outside noise is beyond the control of the host, but the problem could easily be improved by providing a couple of pairs of disposal ear plugs at the start of each stay. These can be bought in bulk at a reasonable price from Ebay or Amazon and would make a big difference! Also, could do with a rubber bath mat for the shower.
