Pour un hôtel international à la frontière France espagne, et compte tenu de l’histoire du lieu, on s attendrait à ce que tout le personnel parle français ou au moins anglais, ce qui n est pas le cas. Pas mal de détails à améliorer et trop de choses approximatives dans le service compte tenu du nombre d étoiles de l’hôtel.

The location and setting are utterly spectacular - yes it does look the pictures and that is not AI! It is amazing that this place exists and we were thrilled to have stayed there. Front desk and the concierge team were amazing - very friendly and helpful. The 1928 restaurant in the railway carriage was a unique 'everyone should do this at least once' experience although the food was a bit hit and miss. The cocktail bar is good but very quiet when we were there.

We had a fairly obvious odour problem with a room that hadn't been let very often - the staff were great and moved us but it was very clear that the room hadn't been checked for several days at least. Some of the staff in the attached coffee area were pretty inefficient and people were waiting 30 mins to order when it got busier.

Everything. A worthwhile stay.

This hotel is housed in the beautifully renovated Canfranc train station. The redesign brilliantly respects the building's historic architecture while integrating luxurious touches to create a visually stunning environment. The breakfast was phenomenal and truly met luxury expectations. The rooms were large and comfortable.

Unfortunately, the service falls drastically short of the impressive infrastructure. We felt constantly nickel-and-dimed during our stay. While there is free parking, EV chargers are only located in the paid lot (15 EUR/day). Access to the swimming pool costs an additional 20 EUR for just 50 minutes—an unjustifiable fee given that the 'spa' and fitness center are very basic and far from 5-star quality. Dining was another major frustration. Because the hotel is in a secluded area, outside dining options are limited. Within the hotel, the high-end restaurants were closed during our visit, and the only remaining dining venue was completely blocked off for a private event. Shockingly, we couldn't even order snacks in the cafe area or get room service. As paying guests, we felt pushed aside and entirely unwelcome. The overall lack of service was further highlighted by a simple maintenance issue: our TV remote was missing batteries. We reported it to the front desk, who promised to send someone to fix it. No one ever came, there was absolutely no follow-up, and not a single apology was ever offered. That is simply unacceptable for a 5-star hotel.
