Plymouth Hoe - Beautiful 5 Bedroom Victorian House - Central Location

Flexible options for all age groups in terms of beds and bathrooms. Comments made by previous guests e.g. enough sofas/ easy chairs and lack of a toaster have been addressed. Ten people can now relax to chat and watch TV together and have toast for breakfast! Host also agreed to cover the cost of car parking for our second car close by.

Location was ideal, large well equipped communal spaces, good communications with the hosts.

There was nothing to dislike , just one thing I'd suggest would be to supply hand towels in the bathrooms

Beautiful and very large property. House was clean on arrival and provided a comfortable stay for a couple of nights. Beds very comfy. Proximity to Plymouth Hoe and ability to easily walk to the Barbican and into the City centre made it perfect for our needs. Parking on site is a rarity in Plymouth so much appreciated. Communication with the owner in advance was timely, friendly and helpful. Would happily recommend the property and would stay again - thank you.

Nothing really. Very small request that a tea towel in the kitchen would be really useful.

the location was good , the house is spacious and modern. Nice decor.

Where to start , the house had not been cleaned from the previous stay when we arrived at check in time 4pm, dirty nappies in the bathroom , baby poo on the towels , rubbish / bottles / cans in the bins and beds all unmade. Property manager Alex came by with the cleaners after 5pm and asked us to leave the property so they could clean because they had forgot to get the cleaners in. He advised us to go get a drink down the road and they would reimburse us as authorised by the owner Henry, which we did. Cleaning had clearly been rushed as they forgot to put any towels out. When i politely text the manager Alex later to ask for towels i received a text back calling me a "stressed mum" and i should take a walk near the water. I decided not to reply to this sexist insulting comment. He then randomly text me the next day apologising and said they would send us a takeaway as compensation . That never happened! On our final day i asked where i should send the parking receipt (as advertised on the booking they offer to pay for parking at £13 /day), Alex told me to send it to him which i did. Couple of days later when i hadn't received anything i text to ask when we might get the drinks money and parking money sent over and he has since refused to reply to me. My sister who was also on the trip contacted him and asked the same thing and received a reply saying they won't give us any money as promised and if we want it we must call booking.com. Their bizarre behaviour , lies and dishonesty completely ruined our weekend away and i would advise anyone to be extremely cautious if booking this property (which is also on airbnb). Luckily i had screen shots of all our conversations and what they had promised so received an apology from booking.com (and the promised refunds). If i didn't have these records i would have been out of packet. Avoid booking with them is my advice or if you do book hold onto all evidence of conversations.

Location and poor supply of wine glasses quickly resolved!

Not well equipped. Dining table actually dangerous to use at one end as the chair would fall down the steps!! Some curtain rails didn’t work, and sliding door exceedingly difficult to close. Owners need to stay there for a couple of days and they would see the problems! Not clear from instructions about second car that you had to park in theatre car park .

Very spacious, excellent location

Not enough seating for somewhere that sleeps up to 10, parking is very tight but parking is already a bonus!

Location, parking, well equipped in terms of bedding, towels etc and great communication with the Host/Agent

Not enough comfortable seating in the lounge for a property that potentially sleeps 10 people, only one large sofa and two chairs.

Spacious and really well equipped. Perfect position for both town and The Barbican. Great house!
