2-Bed Bungalow Retreat, Welcombe

The house was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our break. It was lovely and quiet, and I really enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder. We had a couple of chilly days and the electric fire and heater were appreciated. The dog throws, towels and outside shower were a brilliant idea

The directions weren't very clear, it took us a while to find the property as it's well hidden. We stopped and asked in the pottery shop for help.

The location was ideal, it had everything you could possibly need (home from home). It was especially nice that they had catered for dogs, ie dog bowls, throws for the furniture and even a pet shower outside although we didn’t need them has we brought those with us,but seeing them there made us feel that our pets were as welcome as us. All the little extras biscuits, milk etc was a lovely touch and showed the owner had put a lot of thought into making their guests comfortable. Thank you.

The place was clean and well maintained. A bottle of wine, milk i left in the fridge,and a load of other goodies.

Beds were uncomfortable and inadequate heating for a winter hiring. Very cold. Toilet not fixed to floor moved when in use.

We had a bit of a problem locating the keys, but got a phone call quite quickly to tell us where the keys might have been put from the previous occupier. Found them in the end. Property was nice and comfortable. Nice to be in an enclosed area with other similar properties and have our own gate access. Easy to get to.places by car. Some walks where we were staying, by walking down the lane and finding footpaths off to various places.

Because there wasn't an enclosed garden with our property, we had to go out and walk in the area of the other properties on site, but it wasn't too much of a problem. Unfortunately there was a lady there with a dog that she just let roam free and wasn't keeping an eye on, so it was doing it's business in various areas and on one occasion on the grass verge behind our property. This as annoying when we were clearing up after our two dogs all the time. Also, it would be nice if we didn't have to rummage through cupboards to find instructions on where to put things, I.e. the bin bags once used. We found them tucked away in the cabinet under the TV. Also, I had to clear away spider webs a ove my bed before I could sleep.

Was very dog friendly throws, dog towels, bowls and outdoor dog shower. Lovely bungalow Beds comfy, lovely shower.
